Eddie Lacy to bama via John Curtis ?

I was told Eddie L. was way short of having a qualifying gpa and somehow John C. helped him out so he could play for saban. Does anyone know if this is true? I did not hear anything about this last year.

Lacy had probably never made a C in his life and became an honor student in his summer classes at Curtis.

A lot of shady stuff was involved with him qualifying but tbh that goes on at a lot of schools. It is what it is.

Probably, considering a shite-ton of his former players have gone to school there, and some of his sons as well. The people that keep spouting off the bull shite that Curtis is anti-LSU are just ignorant. He has nothing against LSU.

how many of Curtis' big stars went to LSU? If he has a national recruit, they usually end up out of state. Of course he is going to let LSU have Jerry Sevin and Vernon Russell Jr.

Curtis and Saban are bosom pals. I don't recall any help from Curtis to get one of our recruits eligible.

Really do not think Curtis has a ton of LSU caliber recruits. Curtis is not loaded with the 300 pounders nor the 250 lbs linebackers. Don't get me wrong they are talented and here is the key...Well coached! J.T. loves that 190 to 210 lb kid who is quick and smart. I hate the machine he has created, we have lost to them but it works.

At times they are - there was a year when they had Carnell Stewart and Ryan Watkins (i think that was his name) on the DL and they were both highly rated, 4-star type recruits. Watkins went to USC. Over the years, Curtis has had many LSU caliber athletes, but it's been a little dry recently.
