Why not? Cause he's an a-hole? He's a great recruiter and a threat at any other major program for Louisiana talent. We don't need him, but it wouldn't hurt to have another excellent recruiter on the staff.

I've never seen so many teenagers who have so much inside scoop on lsu football. It's amazing.

Ed's family lives in Mandeville. Ed and his wife are big in that community. Its common knowledge in that community that Ed would love to be at LSU. That would give him the chance to be with his step-son at LSU and he would also be able to watch his other son play on Friday nights at Mandeville High. Of Course Ed also wants another shot as a HC and would jump at that opportunity first.

Sorry you're out of the loop. Every one who regularly visits a certain local shop in Mandeville knows this. Sounds like you need to move to Mandeville. Life truly is better on the Northshore.

Its common knowledge of eds family ties, but Ed's had his chances and Ed has turned them down. Y'all don't have a clue about miles coaching staff decisions 5 months in advance.

Actually I do. I know Miles has told Ed numerous times the door is still open.

He won't coach, director of recruiting and several of us knew about the cam Cameron hire months in advance. Ed is telling people he will be at lsu after this season. He may be talking shite because he wants to be here or it is already in the works. It's only a matter of time before the likes of frank Wilson are gone. They are too highly sought after to stick around as position coaches.

He and Frank are best friends. Like it or not it's probably the two that could shut ole Nick out of La.
Which is very much needed!

I'd take him in a minute but you cannot give him too much control over the whole recruiting picture. His classes ,when he is in control for the most part, are unbalanced. He focuses on DL way too much. Its understandable because that's his position but a team isn't built around 20+ DL guys.

The dirty stuff, while true, is not a dealbreaker. Have to have guys that push the envelope and to his credit Ed has never been tied to any wrongdoing. He could shore up some holes in our recruiting.

Think of it this way, do you want him pissed off at LSU and on another SEC staff? I don't. Imagine him on the Bama staff? We'd be in trouble. Kepp those that can hurt you close.

The one comment in this thread about all the dirty stuff is funny. Remember when Frank was about to come here? The same things were said about him and that's worked fine. If he causes trouble then we can jettison him. I welcome him if he comes

I'd be one happy tiger fan if Ed joined the staff and we rescued Ron Cooper from USF

Why are you so against this? The alabama coach is one of the dirtiest recruiting guys around.

Its what it takes and we need all the help we can get.

It will be huge to get him at lsu. He is a great recruiter
