If anyone had any doubts about Ed o and his recruiting and the way he kept Raymond and built his new staff.
The man knows what he is doing

No one questioned his recruiting. Everyone questioned him running the program and having success on the field. And that verdict is to come.

Why are you sold on his recruiting? He's #2 because of the number of recruits. The high amount of 3 stars worries me

I should have been more clear. I'm sold on his team building methods and the way he puts together his staff and got rid of the bad apples
Also the way he runs his days and the way all the recruits talk about him. There is a different air about the lsu program that everyone is going to want to jump on the train.
Also the bigger recruits are coming just wait he's building a solid foundation of the grit and grind guys then u go for the big fish

There's a high amount of 4 stars as well, a few of those 3 stars will get bumped up eventually.

Until I see the development of this offense (along with quarterback play), I withhold judgement in terms of his coaching.

As for recruiting, I fully expect a recruiter as good as he is to be able to sell to a top-flight running back (or two) that coming to LSU is worth his future.

Offensive recruitment is where I'm focused more than anything. We need some serious running backs and receivers along with 2 offensive tackles in this class.

ED O is " killing it" by not firing the obvious stars of the coaching staff?
This site never fails to amaze...

Dmn.

Can't tell if serious or not. You guys who only want a kid who lucked up to be seen by scouts earlier than others ruin this board. There are very few 5 stars who actually play like 5 stars their entire careers. I like 5 stars too, but it's always nice to watch a kid who was unknown earn his stars.

We have some of the best coaches developing players anywhere. Look at the job Tommy R. is doing with those RB's. Fournette lite earned his playing time last night. Our coaches are getting the most out of our players.

At this tine, Chark and Dural were 3 stars.

We still have a season to go. Much can happen. But physically these are SEC caliber kids.

more than a few of the 3 stars will get bumped up to 4 stars...they evaluated and got on them before other teams have...remember when everyone was all up Dylan's arse and we watched how everyone caught up to him

smh

Go watch the film on the DB from Evangel or some of the others and you will understand why you shouldn't worry about stars as much as you probably are

These kids aren't even in their Sr year. Way too early to worry about star rankings

The people he fired and the people he brought in. Obviously keeping Raymond was a no brainer I meant firing the other idiots that miles wouldn't

Also at this point in the season or before season they have far less 5 and 4 stars than they will in middle of season and towards end. Way more. Which is why alot of players get the default 3 star

I'm more interested in how he develops the players once they get to campus. A 3 star can be an NFL prospect when he's coached up, and likewise a 5 star can be a waste of roster spot if he's not properly coached.

we need to close on rogers for this year and maybe gunnell for next to solidify that qb position going forward.

I know we have some young guns already in the stable but we need more.
