I think most people just take the approach that Dylan should go where he wants to go. It's his life. And wherever he goes, he will have a great opportunity. Going to Bama or LSU (or two dozen other schools) is basically a win-win. But they also find the drama and the perceived self importance and the posturing and the Twitter rants to be a little boorish, and they probably wonder why an adult is not intervening on his behalf and shutting it down before all the haters rush in to insult and defame him. I have three kids and I am aware of how easily a kid can be targeted for abuse on social media, because it has happened to my oldest very recently.
And just let me say this respectfully and clearly-where your son goes to school is probably the least important thing that I will hear all year. Dylan isn't curing cancer. He's a HS football player. Pretty small potatoes to any well adjusted person. And if he affects an air of negativity publicly about any school, he is likely to get called out by the fans of that school. That's just human nature. You come after me, I come after you. And there are a LOT of crappy people out there who enjoy being miserable to people on the internet. That's why silence is golden and discretion is the better part of valor.
Good luck to you and yours.

If he wants to read about himself in the newspaper or magazines... GO AHEAD.
But message boards.... COME ON MAN!!! We posters are the worse predictor of talent in the world. What person would ever listen to us posters..

If that kid doesn't come here and claims it's because of this board then he's making excuses as to why he's not coming here. Every fan base is loathsome when things aren't going great. That's the nature of the beast. If Moses doesn't want to come here, own that shite, don't make excuses.

Have a downvote. And to the people groveling have some self respect. No recruit is worth that.

I wouldn't think ANY prospect will base his decision on the comments, positive or negative, of the fans. Let the young man enjoy his high school career.

Dude seriously.....you are trying way to hard. Only the naive kids believe you know it all which was the case with dallas

Again....nail on head. You are obviously highly educated and rational. I find it a little puzzling myself as to why the parents haven't shut this down. If what some are saying about the twitter responses are true, then he and family might actually believe they are bigger than the university and bigger than cancer. There appears to be no humility or humbleness. Who was that #1 recruit a few years back that kept jumping schools...even committed to LSU at one point...believe he sat out and then just fizzled out...it happens often. I read where this tic toc said they know but they aren't going to ALLOW us to know uuntil nsd. Attention? Game? Entitled? Be a man...say what you want and stick to it. You will earn much more respect than playing games. You see where that got janzen Jackson....

They do if they buy into the "bigger than the game" mentality. If reports are true its puzzling why this kid still has a twitter account....basically saying "you don't realize who you are talking to". That comes from the parents.

I'd be ok with him dropping the whole "I'm the #1 player in the nation" talk anytime he wants. We get it.
