Speedy was worried about drug testing.

Say what....

Yeah, he was promised he wouldn't have to worry about drug testing at A$M...and he was told he would see snaps at QB..and they convinced him that LSU underutilized Russel Shepard...

but Noel Ellis was the biggest pull for him leaving, but the drug test inquiry has apparently been confirmed by our staff. the bottom line is he is a great talent but he might be another "Best there never was"

We aren't going to get every 5* we want. DWI....what is so complicated about this concept?

This! What is our recent track record with kids from John Curtis? Not exactly a pipeline to LSU.

Just curious, outside of Mcknight, what other JC players have made any real contributions at the CFB level?

If you look at any of his pictures from his twitter page you will see that he has been an FSU fan for a long time. Highly doubt that he comes to LSU.

they get the ball to their receivers too

Not enough to make an impact

Winston get's the ball to his receivers, FSU hasn't had a WR with at least 800 yards since before 2004 (as far back as ESPN goes). hadn't had double digit TDs since 06 (12), and the next highest was 7, one time.

UCLA does the same

UCLA does a tiny bit better in the same time frame as FSU, but not by much. They also, are hoping the Hundley train turns it around.

I do think that of all the depth charts that looks most appealing it's lsu that wins that -- a big key for getting him

Having two receivers projected to be top 3 or 4 round picks help ... especially when they're juniors

he has a great relationship with the lsu staff and his QB brandon harris

i think he stays home but we will sweat it out ... trust me

Correct on all of this.

What I laugh about though, is people who say top WRs shouldn't come here because Miles doesn't throw enough or bad QBs etc. I haven't looked at facts for all teams, but Miles seriously has one of, if not the best track record of getting WRs drafted in the higher rounds.

1st round Bowe
1st round Davis
2nd round Randle
3rd round Doucet
3rd round LaFell
6th round Holliday
7th round Byrd

We are about to put 2 more in the top 3 rounds this year.

UCLA
5th round Slater
7th round Austin

FSU
3rd round Reid
4th round Davis

We have shown through the highs and lows of QBs, we still put WRs in the NFL better than just about anybody, if not better than all.

If he leaves, that makes what, 5 of the top 10 Louisiana players that are going out of state? 6 if Kenny Young goes

Dupre
Cam rob
Speedy Noil
Gerald Willis
Hootie

We have a problem that needs to be addressed.

And while LSU is awesome don't act like were far superior to everyone else. I see plenty of reasons for him to go to FSU or UCLA(Cities, 2 good proven QBs, FSU just won NC). Seriously I dont see how you dont realize there is a good chance he will go somewhere else. I really hope Dupre comes here but if he doesnt thats alright too

If he wants to go to other schools, fine. I'm just done "sweating it out" over them. I only care about the guys who are committed or who have indicated a strong public interest in playing for LSU. I get excited about guys like CG3, LF, Brandon Harris, JA, Trey Quinn. Even Travonte Valentine, he's not committed yet but I can tell he already loves LSU. Those are the guys I want to talk about, people that wear their love for LSU on their sleeve.

I don't know what Dupre wants, and I'm not going to speculate or really give it too much thought. Wherever he goes he goes. What recruiting has become is an attention grab. These kids know that by being secretive they attract even more attention. I just don't personally understand the need to be so secretive and don't like it at all.

@ChadSimmons_: 5* WR Malachi Dupre called his visit to #FSU his "best visit ever"

We already have 2 of the top 10 WRs in the country already in Lane and Rudolph. It just doesn't make logical sense to come to FSU. I think hes just trolling.

Good luck with Dupre and don't let Bama have him.

You still have Famous Winston and that could be enough to lure Dupre.

We missed on almost everyone that came from our own state with NO big instate competition. That's not a good thing! We should get these guys period. For some reason they dont want to be at LSU, that is a concern. Jus sayn

Well it doesn't help when your OWN fans in state talk about how much LSU sucks, miles sucks etc...

I guarantee you, that plays a part.
