Looks to be a true nose tackle at 6’3” 332 but has played well for them for 3 years. Adding another good interior guy never hurts.

Wiltfong just said LSU looks to possibly be the first team he visits. Said he could be visiting later this week

Kentucky third-year defensive tackle Justin Rogers officially entered the transfer portal Monday afternoon, and he's expected to have a number of high-profile suitors.

Sources indicate to 247Sports that initial schools to watch include LSU, Georgia, Colorado, Miami, Oregon, Louisville with others certainly to get involved in his recruitment.

A source also told 247Sports that Rogers could visit the Tigers later this week starting on Thursday when the NCAA dead period opens for transfers.

has come a long way from being a QB committed to TCU from Louisiana and making transition to DL. lets get the kid back home.

Wonder if House recruited him.

That guy is a big, physical SOB. Take him and we'd have a defensive line as good as anybody's in college football.

But I think I might prefer Lucas, since he gives you at least two years here, and the second year is the one which is most important because that's when you worry that you're getting cleaned out with Jefferson, Wingo and Smith all going pro and Guillory being a senior.

I think we run a lot more 3-4 and 3-3-5 next year even though we ran it a bunch this year also. If you landed Rogers you could conceivably start him at NT and let Wingo and Smith be your DE. Wingo played it the entire game in the bowl game with Savion at the other end and Guillory at nose. The downside would be less snaps for Savion Jones who clearly deserves them and Quency Wiggins who everyone thinks is going to be a monster when he’s fully healthy. You’ve also got Womack coming in. It’s a good problem to have. I’ll be interested to see if they play Perkins at the Jack or want him playing on the ball inside for 3 downs in the Devin White role. He could impact the game more from inside and let Carter/Mike Jones/Womack fight for the Jack role.

I think if you went that way you'd find Saivion Jones would be your Jack LB more often than not and you'd run a 3-3-5 that looks like a 4-2-5.

Or you'd see Rogers or Jefferson come out on 3rd down, Wingo would move inside and Jones would be your 3rd down pass rusher at DE.

I agree the versatility Rogers would give your DLine would be really nice.

Did you think this through?

Supposedly he is leaving kentucky to pursue nil opportunities.

Hopefully lsu steps up to the plate.

if we get him and the aggie DL i will feel a whole lot better about our defense for next year. we really need interior linemen. Our starters are great but we need more depth.

I don’t think we would get both. If we are lucky we would get one. We still most likely need an experienced LB, Maybe another corner/safety.
