Yes. We are his leaders at the moment, but nothing is a sure thing in recruiting.

I saw TP newspapers nifty 50 awhile back, last month I think and they had him ranked as the No. 2 prospect. I found it surprising that he was ranked that high, he seems intent on playing DLine even though every other expert says OT is the way to go for him.

Shea put him in his early prediction piece recently, and he's usually pretty conservative. Things are just quiet this time of year until summer camps start.

It may have been James Smith list but he said that as OL he would be ranked #2 or top 5 overall but as a DL he would be way further down the list.

At 6'7" 330 it would be hard to see him as a DT or a DE.
Being that tall hampers interior DL prospects. The kid needs to focus on his $$$ position and thats OT.

Lately, it's looking like LSU has the best shot.

Still eyeing Alabama, LSU. Those are the two.

Mississippi State has visited him a lot, but Ed Orgeron is doing his part. Orgeron will even be the guest speaker at the Ferriday athletic banquet.

Dare is a top priority for O and LSU.

Tidbit: Rosenthal has a teammate that might also get a look. A 6'4, 220 tight end that was named to the LFCA Class 2A all-state team

Rosenthal and Dantrieze Scott are best friends and have been buddy buddy since youth ball.

It doesn't really matter what he does in high school. Kids have a way of seeing the light when they realize one position will get them on the field faster than another.

Great size and physical ability, but I'm concerned about the work ethic and mindset.

You absolutely recruit him, but even if he signs with Tigers I wouldn't be surprised if he flames out.

Hope he proves me wrong.

I watched him mature throughout the end of the season last year. He grew up tremendously and fought through an injury that would have sidelined most.

Dantreize has that fire and killer instinct and should be able to earn an offer.

Lewis mathews(LB) is also a talent. He's undersized but will definitely earn an offer from somewhere.

Larry Scott is a younger guy to watch out for. We are loaded right now.

Think he'll have a spot throughout as long as we have one but u could see his recruitment ending up a lot like Adrian Ealy last year. He's insistent on playing DL, DE at that, and that could push him away from us if we start filling up. OT is the better long term spot in his recruitment and play. Interstellar to see how it all plays out.

No

Ed Orgeron is the guest speaker at Ferriday's athletic banquet. I mean, come on y'all. Just come on.

One guy saying he might end up like Adrian Ealy. Another questioning his work ethic. All the while, the guy making the decisions is doing everything in his power to keep him away from Alabama.

Good catch. Autocorrect I assume.

As far as him being guaranteed a spot, watch it play out. If he continues on the DE path and holding out then he's in serious danger of not having one.
He's not playing DE at LSU and every insider we have isn't sure where or how he fits the class if he continues to hold on to that position. Also guaranteed he is not a current take at Bama so that garbage can be thrown out the window. A coach recruiting a kid doesn't guarantee a spot. It's the job. His only saving grace may be that we have so many spots.
