L. Jones to OLB
Voorhies/Paris eventually settle at safety
Battle stays at CB

So that should leave us with room for 1 more safety, right?

So, is the staff higher on Santos Ramirez (I thought he committed?) or Mattrell Mcgraw?

I don't think Hootie moves to backer. He'll be another Chad Jones type. Big physical hard hitting safety.

504 Soulja knows alot about Karr players, and he says that Donnie Alexander very well may end up playing safety in college based off what several coaches think. So, maybe the LSU staff is planning accordingly .

Jones stats at safety but I must admit, I think LSU plans on playing all CBs and Safties on some plays.

So, who's the likely odd man out at safety? Paris or Voorhies? Or is Hootie odd man out?

One of them will end up in a safety/linebracker hybrid role IMO. I think it'll be Hootie.

Nah. I think Alexander is the perfect type of OLB that Chavis likes.

Nope. Chad Jones weighed 225+ and still balled hard at Safety. Hootie has great athleticism, can play CB, and is a ball hawk.

Nope. Both Hootie and Paris have more potential at CB(Not saying they end up there). Battle will be a beast safety though.

I can see Hootie staying at Safety, because OLB is kind of a "non glamour" position in our D.

But Battle is a lot faster than Paris or Hootie. I really think we underestimate Battle's potential at being a tall Richard Sherman-like Corner.

why does it have to be an odd man out? We need the depth at safety, doesn't matter who's starting.

After this year we can possibly only return eugene(who's never taken a snap at safety), sandolph(who probably will never start) thompson and jefferson

If we lack so much depth at safety, then why isn't McGraw and Ramirez a definite take?

Not really much difference between them in straight line speed. But Hootie and Paris might have better hips. Paris ran a 4.42 at the Sparq finals and 4.35 at LSU camp so he has top end speed as well. Not sure about Hootie's times but his highlights make him look like flash. For a second I thought they sped up the highlights.

I agree with every word of this. He'll see "more of the field" as a DB, so I'm thinking he stays here.

Watched him play several times in high school, and talked to several kids at Neville. If you bring up Diarse, they immediately bring up Jones as the real talent on that team.

This, from the mouth of babes, so take it for what it's worth.

We're going to need DB's that can cover the 5 receivers A&M sends out on patterns and Physical enough to handle Al Obama's downhill running game so I trust Chavis will figure out who gives us the best chance at doing this.
