Do you see any of the incoming LB's getting early playing time?

I say Clifton could come in and start based off what I've seen from his film. Kid is a ball hawk who will knock your arse off.

Anyone think he or another guy gets in the rotation early, possibly starting lineup?

I doubt that seriously but he will probably get playing time depending on how quick he picks up the system

Don't sleep on Beckwith...
If he picks up the position well this offseason, he with Kwon and Debo on either side would be a helluva LB core if you ask me.
Every time Debo gets on the field it seems he makes a play. Never got why he hasn't played more

I think LSU has a good track record of getting the top studs of the incoming class plenty of playing time, especially on defense.

Garrett will be a beast early in his career at LSU. His weakness at this point is pass coverage. I don't think that he would disagree with that. That's something he will have to learn to improve on and I have no doubt he will. He has been quoted as saying that he has things to learn. He has a lot going for him and is excellent against the run and putting pressure on the backfield. I see him getting some early playing time behind Welter and has a chance to earn a starting job before the season's end, but I sure wouldn't bet on it. That's a lot to ask of a freshmen MLB.
If we are fortunate enough to land Kenny Young, he could possibly get some early playing time at OLB. He's got a lot of upside to him as well and will be a dominant player.
I don't know much about Alexander but would guess if he got playing time in 2014 it would be special teams.

I think Clifton's the easy choice right now. I'd imagine he'll see some time in a reserve role, but I don't expect his PT to really increase until he's a sophomore. Linebacker isn't an easy position to start as a freshman in the SEC.

I think CG and Kenny Young, if we get him, would get PT. Dont think they would be starters, but we rotate LBs a good bit, especially in the past few years.

But I think we have a very good core of LBs with Debo, Kwon, Beckwith, Welter, and Lamar Louis.

And Beckwith has moved back to LB.

I doubt any Freshman starts.

I see it as a bad sign if they do.

Garrett in the rotation inside. Can't wait to see more of beckwith. I honestly think young would make it on the field in no time as well.
