LF. Is coming to LSU with Williams.

There is no need for a back up. The staff knows where they are at with LF.

After watching guys like Venric Davis and Dri Archer yesterday, I really hope we go after Palelei harder or keep Brazil at RB. When I watched those guys yesterday it was like trying to catch lightening. You watched and expected them to not make the corner in time and yet they did it over and over again.

Believe me that barring any injuries, Blue and Brazil are going to tear it up this year.

LF will be at LSU!! also, i thought someone posted on here that LSU had not been in touch with williams for a while meaning he is not a sure option for the 2nd rb spot.

When is the last time LSU was hurting at the RB position? Pretty much never. Would be great to get him, but we'll be fine if we don't.

LF was destined to come to Lsu. Not sure why I feel like this but I don't see him going anywhere else

exactly how I feel. LSU set up a perfect situation for him to be the feature back at LSU for the 3 years he is here

He's coming here. The only other place I think he would even think about going is FSU. No way he goes or is considering Bama. They have Thomas, Mixon, and some other guy on Radar and Bama are in the top 3 of all their lists. Add the fact that D hart moved back to RB, Fowler Yeldon and two others are back along with the 3 from the 2013 class, and Bo Scarborough and you have a clustefricking logjam. Even if he beats out all of them, he still isn't guaranteed 20 carries like he would at LSU.

True in some sense. BUT, we can be "not hurting" and still fall way behind the Bama freight train. Bama has had better backs for the last 5 or 6 years now and it shows when we line up against them. We HAVE to pick up the stud RBs from now on to compete in the big big games. Bring on LF!!!

I hate myself for even asking this but who else are we looking at? I know we have a couple instate kids that we like but they don't seem to be featured backs on this level.

I honestly think if the lsu staff had any doubts whatsoever about lf, then they would have brought in adam taylor who wanted desperately to be a tiger but ended up at nebraska. I would like racean thomas as a potential backup plan or even bo scarborough who is a current commit to alabama, that dude looks like a 28 year old nfl running back.

FYI

Even with all those great bama RBs and O-linemen
LSU has outrushed bama head to head four out of the last six novenbers.

Tigers twice went over 200 yards rushing.

bama's best was about 175. LSU held them under 100 yards twice in that timeframe with a low of 20 yards.

i know we'd be "fine" without him, But itd hurt alot on the field, and even more so on the rant if we didn't get him. Palelei is someone i want with or without LF.

Well, LSU wouldn't be very smart if the only RB they take is LF anyway. So yes, they have a backup plan. We need at least 2 RBs in this class and possibly 3. It's possible Hilliard leaves early.

Hilliard is likely gone if he gets any significant PT this season. That means all you have for next year is Magee, whoever we get in this class, and possibly Brazil who might not even stay at RB. So yea, I don't like how LSU put all the eggs in the LF basket. I don't care how good he is. It's stupid to look ahead in the future and not recruit to your needs now. LSU has got burned like this in the past with the QB and we still haven't fully recovered.

I'm not saying LF will screw LSU but he doesn't have control over the future. LSU is one injury away next year of being royally fricked at RB if what I said above happens. LF isn't a god and immune to injuries. We need a 2nd high profile RB at minimum to go with LF. They even had rumors Magee was going to transfer awhile back and so it's still a possibility there.
