While I think Siaki Ika was a major get for LSU who will play meaningful snaps early in order for O and LSU to really feel good about this class and it’s ability to level the playing field with Alabama they have to pick up one of the MS DL (Pickering, Young or Moore) to go along with signing Ish Sopsher. Pickering would be my first choice but I think he’s set on Starkville. I love how violent Byron Young plays and I think Moore may be the most well rounded of the group. They all are the big bodied, strong type we need to combat Bama so somehow O needs to pull a rabbit out of his hat and get one of these kids to cross state lines. Since I believe Ish is not keen on playing NT he will not contribute immediately as he will need to lean his body out a bit to play end. All 3 of the other guys to me look physically ready to play from the get go.

Any of them would be nice, but Byron Young is my first choice for a few reasons.
1st he's a hell of a player;
2nd he's a Bama commit and we need the narrative and perception that we beat Bama head to head, will only help us down the road with other recruits;
3rd there is a lot of turmoil at Bama right now with the coaching staff and it can only helps our chances;
4th he apparently grew up an LSU fan and might be easier to convince than the others.

Young plays with a nasty streak you love to see in D-linemen. He would instantly be in the DE rotation and start in 2020. Charles Moore just looks very polished for a DE his age. He can win with power or technique. Pickering is a boy inside a 30 year olds body.

I want Young before any of the rest, and Pickering next. Sophsher boys down the list for me. The key to Pickering is Bahnsen.

I think my first choice would be Pickering because he's just nasty, but I think that ship may have already sailed! I like Young, but prying him away from Bama is going to be tough but there are some problems internally. I'm hearing there's going to be more coaches leaving, so it could be interesting. Also, it's recruiting and it's dirty and nasty out there and a good campus visit and a nice full shoe box of goodies could change everything! We'll have to wait and see how this all plays out!
