Doesn't it bother anyone else that we are limited in the number od defensive line/ends and linebackers we are recruiting?

Seems like the Evil Empire gets several 4-5 stars of each group each year, while we get 2-3 linemen and 1-2 linebackers. Even BYU gets more LBs than we do For 2017, everyone says Queen, but who else? Allen, maybe. Moses, not likely.

Where's the concern?

A little uncertainty with the staff, but just let it play out.

I am unconcerned because recruiting doesn't mean a thing in October. Not to mention, it is only normal that our coaching changes will cause uncommitted kids to take pause before jumping on board.

LSU is recruiting a number of top-quality D-Linemen and Linebackers. If mid-January comes, and there is still no progress, I will officially become concerned. But not now.

in an ideal world, we'd pull Queen, Allen, Moses, Chaisson, and Levi Jones. Is that realistic? most likely not.

My only concern is that there are people in this world who think they have a better grasp of recruiting than a recruiting guru such as Coach O. On top of that absurdity, the op wants to compare BY fricking U to LSU/Coach O.

Let's not throw in the towel on anyone.

Are you serious about the DL?

They have 4 guys committed right now and they are heavily recruiting 2 more guys and an elite rush end/buck LB.

They signed 4 DL last cycle and 2 rush ends/Buck LBs.

I really wish we would take some 3 star guys like Malcolm Roach at linebacker that we passed on last year. Dude is having a great year at Texas.

Michael Divinity and Devin White say hi. Beckwith and Key will both be Top 15 or higher when they leave.

Aranda will attract a lot of quality LBs.

Thanks. I feel a lot better about the DL situation.

But the LB comments have me concerned a bit more about that position. I'm reading a lot of "ifs" between the lines on names mentioned. Guess we'll see how it plays out.

BTW, BY fricking U has a pretty good linebacker corps. The point I was making is that it's better to have merely "good" than none at all. Getting "great" would be, well, great!

We'll end up with Queen (highly underrated), Chris Allen, K'Lavion Chaisson, and a couple other guys and we'll be fine.

We will also get Andre Anthony on campus with this class too.

And honestly if Orgeron is the head coach at LSU come December we get Dylan Moses too. I really believe that

What are we supposed to do about it?

Great point about gaining Andre Anthony. He'll be a superb addition as an DE/OLB.

Makes me wonder if they will slide Divinity (234 lbs) to ILB with White. Both have ideal size and speed (athleticism) to cover ground and make plays. Would be a very dynamic duo. Seems we should be set pretty well at OLB/Buck with Key returning, Sci Martin, Isaiah Washington, Ray Thornton, and the incoming crop of FR.

Anyone else think it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a hard look at JUCO LB's & go after one of the top ones? I'm looking at the depth chart for next year & it's pretty thin. White & Divinity have talent but it's unproven. D. Alexander is an oversized safety. A. Anthony should be back but he seems more of a pass rusher. An injury to either White or Divinity & we're in really bad shape. Would be nice to add another 230-235 lb thumper for depth.

Great point. Seems we would be an attractive landing spot for a JUCO ILB. Ability to compete, and get on the field on day 1.
