Disappointments not the End of the World

I think and hope we get everyone we think we're getting. However, if we lose someone it's not the end of the world. Sometimes things have a way of working out. If LF (gasp) would pick up the red hat, then you can imagine that Bo Scarborough may start to have bigtime 2nd thoughts. Although he may bolt to Ole Piss according to RB posts, the wide open RB position in a Cam Cameron offense may be very tempting, and if I were LSU, would pick up the phone right away and get him in here.
That is all just theoritical. But this kind of theory wasn't mentioned until LF starting the Bama thing. LSU is not going to hand him the job, but from a recruiting standpoint, they seemed to do what the LF camp wanted as the nations #1, and beg off of other RBs.
The thing is, you never know what COULD happen if things don't apparently work out. Brossette, Guice, etc could step in and maybe be an even better RB. Probably not knowing what we know now, but it's a possibility a 2015 national back would be very interested should LF not show up in BR.
With one flagship school here in LA, it just hurts to think that any top LA player wouldn't want to help LSU win a national title without mostly homegrown talent. But like any other year, there will be disappointments. It hasn't always worked out for the kids who go out of state, but sometimes they think the grass is always greener (or redder).
I think we can contend for the NC every year as long as we have a top 5 class consistently every year. 5 stars coming in don't always leave with 5 star contribution, and 4 and 3 stars can end up being major contributors.
We WILL sign 25 kids who really want to come to LSU and contribute, whoever they may be. We need to get behind these guys and the coaches and see if that crystal ball finds its way to BR again....

Like a breath of fresh air with this new idea.

I find that quote baffling since LSU has suspended players, and these discipline things go on at Bama HA-HA, amongst others. I don't think discipline has had any effect on LSU's on-field performance. If they want to say that Bama will fix grades, buy pickups for players, get relatives, girlfriends and their moms jobs, then just say it. We all know how it's worked there since the Bear.

Dude, thanks for the wall of text and all but Fournette is all LSU. You got trolled.

Some tool trolling the RB of LF going to Bama. And this thread as evidence, he's doing a good job.

Well, maybe. But my point was that recruiting is dynamic. What happens in the end this year, will affect what happens next year.
I think LF is going to LSU, but frankly, I'm sick of the the televised drama, even if this year we're the beneficiary.
These coaches have a hard enough job getting a team ready to play, then have to endure all this jacking around by players and/or forum idiots. It's turned into a la-la land of sorts.
We need an early signing period (Thanksgiving??) to get at least SOME players in the roost early. Then at least we will know some needs are filled.

I wish I was a bigger person, but if we dont get the big 5 people are going to suffer.

If LF didn't end up at LSU it might cost Miles his job in the long run with the lack of RB depth and talent.

Did they forget how LF's last visit to gumpville went? Arrived at 7 pm Sat and left at noon on Sun, if he was truly interested in being there, he would have had a longer visit. He barely even breathed Tuscaloosa air and was gone.

Agreed. No need for a pre disappointment thread.
