Is it really realistic that Auburn or USC could conceivably be able to sign another 5 star running back in the exact same mold as their current commit that they already have...

Also LSU is drastically closer to Lache geographically

With USC recruiting that California dream boy, I think its a sign that they have reached a breaking poin with Lache... Suddenly Things Look GREAT for us!

I don't think I've ever been happier to see a 5 star commit to USC!*

*Then again, I've never been happy to see that.

Despite what's been said about USC, I still think it's down to Auburn and LSU with Lache.

I think the only thing that might deter Lache is Miles' loyalty to upperclassmen. Hopefully Les transitions himself and allows talent to dictate the lineup, not age or years in the program.

I hate that about coaches...play the best player that can execute the playbook....

Nutt did this with DMAC...It was actually his coaching philosophy!

He can be ours... I mean we're loosing three senior RBs (opening up depth) and he would have a good chance to start,

IF Crowdon lets the underclassmen play... Can we replace Crowdon with Charlie Weis? While we're at can we steal NDs Reciever Coach Rob Ianello?

Its a figure of speech... Yes, I'm refering to Baxter... Do I think Lache now goes somewhere he could be 3rd possibly 4th on the depth chart? Not today!

Do I think he goes to Auburn and splits snaps with Michael Dwyer? Heck No! Not for a loosing team anyways.

Hasn't he been committed to USC forever? Lache has known Baxter was gonna be there and has still really liked them recently.

At LSU,he really only has 2 ACL rehabs, his cousin, and another RSF in front of him. If Lache looks at the roster as a factor,it should be an easy decision.

Tisk, tisk, tisk...

Lache may have known Baxter would be there, but he doesn't know how good he might be... After all just getting the five star means he (Baxter) is just realizing the potential he might have, or in other words he'll probably have a lot more room to grow.

Like I said before, he'll have a better chance to start here with a winning team than with USC, or spilting snaps while loosing at Auburn.

What you're saying isn't untrue, but Lache is fully aware of what you're saying (I guarantee our coaches have pointed out the depth charts to him) and he's still really liking USC.

You're making it seem like theres new info out there that's gonna completely sway Lache back to us, and that's not the case.

With that being said who knows where he'll end up.

Well I don't know about loosing...I don't know what being loose has to do with anything...but last I checked your LSU programs isn't exactly what it was 2-3 years ago...so that really isn't a selling point with Les Miles still running the show...

You're right Aubie. The LSU Tigres are slightly down from their latest pinnacle. However they're much closer to climbing back to the mountain top than the Alabama Tigers, as evidenced by this years game. Three running backs out the door and a fourth rehabbing a 2nd knee injury spells a wide open competition at LSU commencing this spring and definitely carrying over to the fall. Lache may wind up in Auburn because I don't think he fears good competition. However, I do suspect he feels like he could play immediately at either school.

Hell! He'd be the kick returner next year, unless Frank wilson can lure Reed back to our side.

Furthermore, a new OC would help...

Baxter is set to play WR and only take a couple snaps a game out of wildcat. He's not a full time RB like Lache will be wherever he goes.

DJ Morgan is much more comparable to Lache than Baxter is. Both guys have been committed for almost a year, so I doubt he's really concerned about it if he's still considering USC

Kareem Kelly, Keary Colbert, Steve Smith, Ronald Johnson. There's been a few that weren't big guys, although he seems to love big, slow WRs
