Well you have that with 4-5 other girls that are good looking, but nothing really to write home about. But this one night stand is possibly with the best looking girl you have seen your whole life at your school and would give you serious bragging rights

I think we've taken this metaphor as far as we can. Things can change between now and the end of the 2013 season, but at this point, I'm thinking LSU is more of a title contender for 2015 and 16, so why use a spot for someone to just (maybe) put up pretty stats and make some highlight reel catches? I'd rather have Blacknall, Dupree, Noil, Quinn and call it day. Assuming Upchruch sticks, we certainly don't need 6 WR. If Upchurch doesn't stick, I think I'd still rather stick with the other 4 and sign someone else (DL/RB/OL). Long way to go, but at this point, I'd be fine if we don't get Williams, espcecially if we get the other 4..

Yes, under the current circumstances since we have big WR's and are probably not 1 WR away. Really I'd rather take 4 WR if we get the big 4 and use that spot on another position.

I personally would. Part of that is because it spreads the scholarships at that position out a little more. But also because I think Williams has more value right away than Upchurch does. And we never know, year to year, what kind of impact we'll need at that position.

Though that last thing may change with a new OC.

YES, I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE THE ONE YEAR OF D"HAQUILLE. just a reminder, there are at least 2 or 3 wr in la. in 2015 that are as good or better than upchurch. he is good but would not be a loss to the program.

that's a good point and why I'd rather only take 4 WR's and use the spot on someone else.

But please don't get me wrong, if Williams does sign here, I'll be fine with the one night stand

How many receivers do we need? Jesus.

I would definitely take him over most on the board though. Big, physical, tall, great hands.

I'll take bruising possession receivers over speedy shifty slot guys all day long

What's even more insane is that since he gave up something like 4 catches for around 60 yards and no tds in the title game, he became "terrible in coverage".

A lot, really. 5 is not overdoing it. Boone and Wright are gone, Landry, Beckham, and Q Leslie at best are gone after 2014 if they complete their eligibility. That's our top 5 guys exiting the program within 2 years. Basically we clean up this year and those guys get one year in the program before they need to start in 2015.

his coverage skills were pretty awful in some of the regular season games as well. his stats made up for it, but keep in mind he had incredibly talented safeties behind him helping out.

we lose wright and boone for sure after this yr. Dead weight like fobbs and armand williams might get processed.

Landry or OBJ could leave, though i doubt both will. One of them is likely, though

That leaves:

Leslie
OBJ or landry
Peterson
spears
diarse
dural

we need more than 6 WRs, brah

Leslie and Williams on the outside with obj or landry in the slot would be fap worthy and it gives quinn, noil and dupree a chance to come along slowly or a year to redshirt

Uhhhh, no he wasnt.

Dumbass, yes he was. Your response has nothing to do with the initial statement. Mathieu was the #1 rated "cover" corner that year. He was not rated the #1 overall corner. His lack of size is why he didn't receive offers from other big name schools.

We had two back to back I believe.

We'll also have a new starting QB and are we sure Leslie will stay? Not exactly a Rhodes Scholar candidate.

It would be a complete waste to RS any of those guys. If they are as good as advertised, they will not stay 5 years and if they aren't, we probably want to process them before 5 years is up.
