I know Big Ben went to Denham Springs.

Have there been any others from DS recently?

Yes, Russ Johnson went to DS. I can't think of any others.

This kid has some great Yellow Jackets to follow.

Clint Earnhart played C for 2 years after a Juco stint in Texas. He was DS class of '94. Jeff Harris pitcher was there for a year or 2 before Skip ran him off (or so I hesrd). He was DS '93

13 HRs but only 18 RBI?

Does seem off but he batted lead off for Denham most of year so he would get pitched too. He was Denham's only offensive threat. Might explain the skewed numbers a little bit.

He's not even close to his potential either.

Or he's tapped out which is also a real possibility in baseball. I've seen it many many times.

Also Ryan Byrd was All American at Denham.

Denham baseball is going to be very good in a couple years. Ben McDonald's kid was also a freshman, pretty good pitcher and a couple other guys with potential.

I believe the article was wrong...he didn't hit 13 HR's actually didn't hit any but make no mistake the kid is a player BIG time. Loaded with tools with room to get stronger! Will be a STUD by the time he hits LSU.
