brandon washington from back in the cut
as far as Farrell the TD.com profile says he is 190. Hast to be a typo right?

He will get his bump. Offer list and camp performances will make it easy on recruiting services

Player Profile
The profile you linked in the OP shows that he is a 6-4 190 pound defensive tackle. Sounds more like a wide receiver.

Rivals has him at 6'4" 285. No. 1 DT in the state of Alabama. Sounds more like it.

Wow. Did anyone even know this kid was on our radar?

Feels good to see a kid from my hometown join the squad. I think his pops is a LSU fan. Good job Craig for sealing the deal. We definitely need to rebuild the Mobile, Al pipeline we once had in the mid 2000s

What a pickup based on that film..hard to imagine that there could possibly be 38 better DTs in the country..I don't think so.
I sure hope LSU wins the BCS crown(always seems to help create a few extra slots via early NFL Draft for most schools)..
How many can LSU take this year? Still in on so many elite ballers undecided left on the board.

I love pick ups like this one, and Seth Stewart.
I have been following LSU recruiting for about 10 years now, and when you follow closely enough, commitments are usually either leaked a bit early, as in the case with Kary Vincent Jr, or at least known to be on our board and well publicized. When guys who aren't really on the radar or readily discussed by our insiders commit out of nowhere, it's even more fun.
As a recruitnik novice, I used to mistakingly gaze at the number of stars behind a players name, but as most vets would tell you, one of the most important attributes of a successful recruit is more about the tape, camp performances, and how heavily a recruit is pursued/offered by other football powerhouses.
This is the first recruit from the state of Alabama that had an uncontested commitable offer from Bama that we won since the evil imp's Genesis with the gumps(Kwon Alexander, though a miss by their staff, was still agreed by most to not have had a commitable offer toward the end of their cycle).
Farrell is a huge get as a pure DE in Arandas 3-4, right out of Mobile, being heavily pursued by virtually every elite football program.
It's about time that we made progress by attacking them and winning on their home turf.
Kudos to Orgeron and Craig on this one. Games are won in the trenches and at the QB position, and thus far Orgeron and company have not only made strides in catching up to the imp's DL recruiting, but are passing them up for this cycle. If we continue on course, I guarantee, we will begin to at least go .500 against our rival, and then pass them by.
Their big board has Wilson, Shelvin, Buggs, and Farrell all as top targets, and we will very possibly pull off the sweep and, if not, almost surely 3 of the 4.
Again, to those who pay close attention and know their craft, these unheralded offseason moves are what set up winning games down the road, and as this staff is going, we will again be right on TOP back where we BELONG.

Wow this offer list is sick. I also want that polo. Looks good!

He has a teammate linebacker who has an offer as well. Not sure how commitable or where things stand. Just interesting. They must have a solid defense.

I love how every time LSU lands an unexpected recruit. Everyone assumes, well there goes Marcin or there goes Buggs. Have an open mind ppl.

Does this mean the national guys will mention how he is from Alabama's backyard like they do every time a player leaves Louisiana for another school?

Him going against bad competition is not an issue.

Two different positions buddy.
Not only possible position difference, but also different years. Buggs will be gone by the time this guy is expected to see serious playing time.

we'd take Wilson if we signed 25 D linemen
