was in process of replying to this thread on the scoreboard when the "switch" took place...

quote:

CharlesLSU -
With AJ declaring, the obvious dumpster fire in Gainesville, and the espn spotlight turned down I wouldn't be surprised at all if he flipped. I actually think the flip could be LSU or another team that makes more sense than UF. Muschamp is going to get fired next year and he will be deeply rooted in regret as far as that goes.
LSU will continue to pursue him... of that I have no doubt. Me personally, I don't expect him to flip.

Is Valentine (if we could flip him) what we need? I keep hearing he's slow(er); but that's from people here so I'm not sure. That is definitely one of Willis +'s, dude has quick feet and is explosive.

I don't think he will flip because I don't think LSU was ever really in it

we need to focus on speaks and valentine.

I'd rather flip mcdowell than willis to be honest.

Willis can play end. It will take a combination of Carter, Speaks and Valentine to really replace the type of dominance GW had a chance of being. And no, he will not flip, he is trying to enroll early, which will likely be before the dead period is over.

Valentine, though, is strictly a DT.

Just seems like the kids want away from Momma. We all seem shocked he picked Florida but he is LC's brother.

Just let him know we'd still love to have him but we seriously need to move on and get guys in here that really want to come.

It's one year and we try to go after someone like him next year. sorry it happened, but his LSU-hating brother decided for him, and that's that.

You did not see his post selection interview...

He was prepared to pick LSU and a phone call from Landon in the locker room talked him into "getting out of South LA."

Landon endearing himself further with the LSU fanbase

While I'm sure douchebag Landon didn't help, the mom said on Florida's 247 that Gerald always wanted to leave the state.

You know what, I was eager to get out of LA too. I get it.

But you also know what... I went all over the world and lived in several places in this country including Austin.

There's nothing better than returning home to LA. If work would allow I'd move back in a second.

part of what willis doesn't want is playing DT. He wants to play DE and rush the passer.

He won't flip. We tried to flip Landon Collins too

I believe it because wafb's Steve Schneider interviewed Gerald after the game and he said those words out of his own mouth.

He picked Florida because of his brother. Landon is still sour about his treatment post announcement.
