How sick would our secondary have been with surtain and Caden Sterns with stingley coming in next year?? Missed on possibly the best secondary ever on my opinion..I hope we can start finishing a little better in recruiting for the DBs..

IMO, the recruit (that is currently active on a college team) that I most wish LSU would have signed is Ed Oliver.

((( caveat - only considering guys that seemed genuinely interested in LSU during their recruitment )))

Having him joining our D-Line corps would elevate this 2018 defense to true elite status.

I thought I read where Clemson's Trayvon Mullen is making some mock draft 1st rounds? Isn't he the Florida kid that was committed to LSU but was backburned for someone else?

Oliver and either Akers or Etienne and this team wouldn't have lost to Florida and would not be a home dog coming up (or at least not one by 12 - 14 points - maybe a 3 or 4).

Caden Sterns was a tough sell with Delpit, Monroe, Stevens, and Harris recently signed at safety.

Mullen was a lot like Surtain - he was never committed to us, but was considered a heavy lean at one time. Same class as Fulton, Greedy and Savion, I believe, so he may have seen the opportunity for more playing time at Clemson.

I think a true miss is guy that we take that can't play here. We've had a few DBs transfer out.

An in state kid that's starting to really get some good press is the Dantzler kid from Mississippi St. He was considered a safety coming out of HS, where he played with Ed Alexander.

Those types of kids are usually the ones we get our DBU reputation on, in-state diamonds in the rough.

Mo Claiborne and Greedy Williams started out their recruitment that way but by the time they got to campus they were 4 stars. There are some DBs at Arkansas from North Louisiana that I would put in a similar category to Dantzler.

Mullen doesnt have a pass breakup or interception all season long, seems like thats hard to believe...

Oliver on this team would likely turn a few of our L's the last few years to W's.

Jerry Tillery isn't as good as Oliver, but he's been awesome in his own right. Either one of those guys would have brough our DL to the next level.

Has Goodrich seen any snaps for Clemson this season?

Nice try. But we certainly missed on either of Surtain or Goodrich.
