No real news yet except that he is considering us. LSU was his 2nd choice out of high school and we are on the rise so he could look at us, especially because we are low on post bodies. Would be a really good fit for us.

Isn't the former St. Aug coach coaching at Tulane now?

His little brother will be a stud running back CO'18 so if LSU got him, would be a good way to help football too.

If he transfers now would that qualify as his sit out year, thus allowing him to suit up next season?

TIA

"Unless granted a hardship waiver, Victor wouldn't be eligible to play for another school until after the 2015 fall semester ends."

He should enroll somewhere in Jan, not 100% sure when that would make him eligible. Heard conflicting things from a couple college coaches.

He'll decide by this weekend I believe.

Myytiger posted that victor to lsu was a done deal(paraphrasing). Not sure if it's a credible source

I think best case scenario he wont be able to play till December next year, but that would still be great.

Jordy on his show this morning is indicating LSU is in pretty good shape for him to enroll next week and he would be eligible after the fall semester ends in 2015. We will know by this weekend

Also, Jordy seems to think Mickey will probably declare for draft and Martin is leaning that way as well so LSU has room for Victor and the size he will bring.

They also mentioned Blakeny and that he would have to buy in to team concept because he is a scorer that wants the ball and wants shots.
We will see how he fits in but it has been awhile since LSU has had someone that can score from the wing consistently so I assume that would be a good thing to have

I didn't know if the eligibility began when fall semester ended or when spring began. Hopefully it's the former, and he can get a couple tune-ups before conference play.

I think of the two, Martin is probably the most likely to come back (even though that isn't highly likely). I think Mickey wanted to go after last season, but was talked back into staying. Martin (who did not have nearly as good a season as Mickey) decided pretty early on that he was coming back.

Martin, IMO, has great deal of potential that he hasn't reached yet. A third year in college could help him reach that and push him higher in the draft. Mickey is probably closer to being a "finished product". Assuming he continues to have a good season, I'm not sure another year at LSU would do much more to significantly boost his draft prospect. It would be nice to have someone like Victor come in and add a post presence to what could be a very good team next year.

I'm not too concerned about that. Most guys coming into major college BB were big time scorers in HS. It's a big reason why they were such highly regarded recruits. He'll adapt

Blakeney had no problem with E1T1 this summer and I suspect he won't with LSU either. Be nice to have a bigger guard who can take over a game if we need. Haven't had one of those in ages (Maybe MT?)

With all that said, go find them in the latest mock draft.

I saw one yesterday that had them ranked like 50 something and 70 something. It had Meeks from UNC and the Vanderbilt kid from Baton Rouge ahead of them.
