Well, this has already been discussed, but it was kind of hidden in an unrelated thread.
Thanks to bowtie and Memphis for the contributions. Smeone else may have contributed but I forgot who
Bowtie - I liked Jason Pellerin at QB. Kid has a great demeanor and is a nice size. Also, the OL from Mandeville Burguillos (sp?) has fantastic feet and will be a player. Jozie Milton looks good, kids a bull. hope he grows a couple inches. Chatman just plucks the ball out of the air with ease. Lindsay Scott of Zachary is a heckuva athlete, too. If only he were a little taller, he'd be wanted by everyone. As it stands, he's getting interest from Ole Miss and State.
Eta: Jai Eugene was freaking awesome out there as a coach. He had a blast, too. Carnell Stewart had a great time, along with Coach Sig from McKinley
Me - Raymond is a very skilled corner. High Sec level. IMO LSU should and will offer.
Javahn Furgeson is a name to remember. He is a linebacker at the college level. He absolutely dominated Sunday. He was bigger than the other linebackers, faster, and more agile.
He looked extremely smooth out there and is going to shoot up the different rankings this summer. A must get for LSU IMO. this dude was running stride for stride with every running back at camp, and didn't give up a pass in ~20 1v1s
Pellerin is an elite athlete. He needs to work on his mechanics, but hey that's why coaches coach. Would not be surprised to see this guy an LSU tiger one day soon.
Perilloux was great with the kids. All of the coaches were. This organization, the baton rouge chapter, is extremely pro-LSU.
Memphis was able to speak to javahn directly, and he says he is now 6'1.5" 223. I can tell you that he is built like a Mack truck and is going to be a high 4-5 star once people figure out who he is.

Appreciate the recap of the event. I'm especially happy that you have found your "Russell Gage"
Duckie's love for RG will be rivaled by Big Ed and Javahn

Nah man you'll see. This guy will be coveted. He has matured and grown.
All good though
Just the first and last pages of that thread would fool you, and generally that's what I check.

On a side note, did you see Derrick Raymond? There is no way that kid ever stepped in the LSU weight room. His dreads account for 50% of his weight.

I don't think Javahn has to wait like RG did.

24/7 has a free write up about the showcase:
24/7 Core 6 Showcase
Also, a good nugget from Grant Burguillos's father who posts on 24/7 about Jozie Milton:
24/7 Core 6 Showcase
Also, a good nugget from Grant Burguillos's father who posts on 24/7 about Jozie Milton:
quote:
After the Combine and on the way home, Grant and I both agreed, Milton reminds us of JJ Watt, from the Texans. He's very quick, strong, and can change rushing approaches very quickly half way through the play....... For example, on one of the reps against Grant, he started out with an outside swim move, and when Grant was able to slide quickly outside to block that move, he then went straight at Grant with a bull rush and pushed Grant back into the pocket.....Grant stayed in front him, but it was not easy as he is very strong and I can see where he would command double teams - like Kyle Williams.....If you see him play in person, his quickness and build - you immediately think - JJ Watt...Very few DL have given Grant that much trouble.....Good Prospect and definitely SEC material in my opinion.....
