To the extent anyone is interested in our new scholarship kicker recruit, Connor Culp.... Allow me

The kid only one of the top 5 kickers in the country. Ranked #1 in FG accuracy by one of the country's leading scouting services for kickers and #3 on KO. Averages 70yds on KO during scouting combines with almost a 4 sec hang time. Plus he is not a skinny rail..... Played FB in HS.

I've scouted this kid for a long time now. All positive..... My only thought is that I would like to see a small improvement in hang time on KO. I think with some guidance and development he can get into the 4.0-4.3 range.

Welcome to Baton Rouge, Mr. Culp...look forward to seeing your A ball for several years

I've heard absolutely nothing but great things about this kid, and I'm greatly looking forward to seeing him at LSU.

Sounds good. Kick it out the back of the endzone... everytime.

some of these yo-yo's on here don't have a clue. they see some bad sp play and want to fire BDP. Peveto is not only a top notch recruiter he is, by far, our lead man in Texas. now, while we don't need Tejas every year (as evidenced a couple of years ago when we signed NONE from there), we do need the state in the long run. Louisiana simply does not produce enough top talent at every position. some years we do better in Georgia, some in Florida, etc but we need Tejas too.

firing BDP would be a HUGE mistake. it is much, much, much, MUCH easier to fix Special Teams than to replace Peveto.

but the idiots on here that don't know shite from shinola got it in their little brains that he must go and therefore will not stop with the stupid call for his firing NO MATTER THE FACTS.

Because he is told not to. They are told to pin the ball between the goaline and the 5

How stupid is that? If Peveto is telling him this he needs to be fired!

I believe we still have the Catholic High kicker on the roster, too. He has a helluva leg.

Jack is a fine young kicker, but needs some polish. Still has a propensity to try and muscle the ball downfield. You can get away with that in HS but it creates a lack of consistency and not what is expected at this level. He is a PWO but with work could find himself on scholly before his time is up

He can reach from 50-55. I've seen him hit further but from a consistency standpoint I wouldn't push it further

Thanks I didn't know what the need for this guy. Being that we have like 3-4 Kickers on the team already.

Like every other position you recruit for the future. Trent has two years left, Colby graduated so he has one, Cameron has two years but is primarily a KO guy, Jack redshirted so he has 4. If Connor RS then he is looking to be in a good position to take over the position in a couple years

So you weren't trying to be a dickhead and say that peveto was going to screw him up like the multitude of tards on here? My sincerest apologies if I read that the wrong way. It's a conditioned response when I see peveto brought up anywhere, especially in a thread about special teams.
