I'm from the Northshore, graduated from a rival high school, and have watched Mickey play like 3 times. Kid can bull rush like hell. He impressed me to a point, he's strong and pretty quick. I haven't seen Jernigan play, but I would say that this is a good pick up. I think pulling TJ from Florida will be tough and we definitely could use another solid DT. JMO

I wish I could RA this entire thread. Some of you arse clowns dont get it. Star Gazers. this dude is ranked in the top 250 on every receruiting service and you are mad becuase you dogged him the whole process and you think we are gonna get Jernigans.
This thread is embarassing. I wish he would have went to another school and been an all american.
How dare you guys diss this kid. People who havent played a down of football in their lifetimes saying he is maxed out. Miles has a staff of recruiters. i am sure Frank Wilson adn Brick Haley adn Chavis know what they are getting.
We complain about a kid leaving the state but now you guys are pissed becuase an in state 4 star choose LSU over an Out of State 4 star.
The crazy thing is if Mickey had waited till signing day and annouced this after Jernigan you guys would have been grateful.

Congrats on landing MJ (even if it is a bit of a letdown to you). Ark really wanted him, so if nothing else, you kept us from getting him and from possibly building a few relationships at his hs.

This. I see so many complaints when a kid like GR adn TR leave state. Everyone was butt hurt when McKinight left us dry. then we get an in state stud they bitch about it.
Before Mickey became a media show flipping schools every month thsi site thought he was a beast. The Nega tigers came out in full effect to diss him and bad mouth him for enjoying his process. He played games so some how it made him a worst player or prospect.
They want a gate around the state but only want to take the 5 stars from in state.
Honestly i hate we let Raven go as well. i wish we could have squeezed him in with the other CB's taken.

Not a flame,TTom and i just talked on the phone and we didnt see this coming at all. We both thought he was all AR. I will go a step further, one of my friends owns a LSU site which allows me to get solid info on LSU/La kids and he told me that MJ was going to Ar. last night. I know MJ had a offer in the Fall and during his OV to LSU in Dec, the staff turned up the heat to get him to committ and MJ told them he wanted to take some more visits. LSU supposely moved on after that weekend. LSU was putting all their eggs in the basket with Tim Jernigan. Im shocked by this turn of events. Coaches and kids change their minds with the wind these days. This just goes to show me, recruiting changes by the minute the closer you get to NSD. TIFWIW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the coaching staff thinks he is coachable or they would not offer him. Brick will get his mind right and playing alongside Freak will be a huge plus. MJ is freakishly strong in his on right.
