They recruit both Hootie and CRob hard, but that bromance they had with Simms is why they all ended up in bama. Hootie even said himself he was all LSU until the morning he announced. Now if that was the case why did he spurn LSU last minute. I can assure you it wasn't because we didn't push hard for him.

How about the other case? Not so much...

They realize just because they're LSU you can't leave an area unattended and I thought that happened somewhat the past few years," West Monroe head coach Jerry Arledge said.

I'm of the opinion that winning championships begin on the recruiting trail. It's inexcusable for Les to have allowed anyone on his staff to leave the talent rich West Monroe area "unattended" the last few years. This has probably cost us a few games the last few years.

Losing out on talent in Monroe is like getting pick sixed in the red zone...it's a 14 point swing.

Right. And thanks to Adams we came out smelling like roses in that situation. However the majority of the time it's a big loss.

so besides CRob, what other big time NLa guys have we missed out on recently? Denzen Devall who is not a Louisiana native and stated preference to play in a 3-4? Or Tosh Davis, who was committed to LSU until NSD and allegedly assured Frank Wilson a day before that he was signing with LSU? Did he decommitted because of poor recruiting efforts in NLA?

I'm really glad we are improving our efforts up there, since there is a perception that we ignored the area, but i think that's become kind of an excuse from some Nla people. You certainly can't say we ignored or took Karr for granted, but Noil and Willis left the state as well. Hopefully with Bebe and company working extra time the hurt feelings that we take guys like Gage and Chark over marginal guys up there will be fixed.

Um I absolutely wanted Adams over Hootie. It wasn't even close. Hootie's frame does not come off as a safety to me even though he did have a lot of ints, Adams has a better safety frame and much more fluid and talented.

Never a knock on Hootie, no ill feelings or even bias. Adams looked superior on the individual tapes and work outs.

You're the one that keeps perpetuating the attitude that helps drive kids from North Louisiana out of the state. I guess you're just too fricking stupid to realize that all your bitching and moaning hurts more than it helps.

I'm not going to tell you where I'm from, but it ain't there.

Perhaps we could just shun CP3. Don't respond to any of his posts. Maybe then he'd go away.

Of course, if we could muster that kind of cooperation, maybe we could just petition Chicken to keep him off the LSU Recruiting Board . . . and Tiger Rant . . . and the O-T Lounge . . . might as well ban him from all of the boards . . . except maybe the the Alabama Sports Board. Let him annoy the Gumps.

Ever heard someone from NOLA talk? They sound exactly like people from New York City! Yankees my arse! North Louisiana is as southern as it gets and they love LSU. Miles is the one to blame for not recruiting NE LA hard.

I'm happy Coach O is taking the lead on reclaiming that fertile recruiting area...
