Based on he goes to WM...a great HS program and is still not receiving a lot of interest from LSU right now. They have guys higher on their board. He gets a lot of exposure because of WM...the question is legit, if he went to any other school, would people on here even know him?

Could Thomas play SDE? He sure looks long and quick enough. If so I could see:

I'll will say that the most impressive DT I saw in North La last year was the kid from Rayville, and thats no slight on Hunter

Chucky Hunter = 2011 Byran Jones... The choice of going to BAMA's junior day will be the reason given as to why he didnt get an LSU offer.

Miles told Shows LSU will recruit Hunter when Shows asked him that.

Last week Hunter was 3rd and MJ 4th. What changed other than Hunter going to BAMA?

This! You hit the nail on the head...
Brilliant post and what I have been thinking since I looked at Dandy Don's prospect list. Dandy Don listed Quentin Thomas as a DE/DT. Thomas is supposedly 6'3" tall. That is DE height regardless of how tall Freak Johnson is.
We can red shirt two of the 5 and it works out beautifully. Also, last year we did not land a single DT from the state of LA. Why? Mostly grades issues, lack of quality, and the best DT in LA, we signed as an OLman.
Thus, we better sign all five of these guys because there are no guarantees about Louisiana's 2012 DTs and we don't know if they will have grade issues/can academically qualify.
Bottom line, regardless of how small this class is, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. And, all of these guys are going to be highly ranked and will have offers from Bama, OK, aTm, MS. State, Ole Miss, UTenn, may be UTX before it is all over, and God knows who else. If we let any of them get away, Miles and Co. are seriously F'in-up.

just saw a Miss. st. article saying M. Johnson got 4 offers yesterday (LSU, oregon, tenn. ole miss) and now has 7 in total.
