Auburn is the dirtiest school in the nation,...chop blocks, Pat Dye, Cam Newton, Trooper Taylor, and the fiasco at the end of the Georgia game. Watching Fairley act like an ape was horrible, he slams qbs illegally and he goes for the knees, hits late, I hate the university. I can't believe they let Cam Newton act so juvenile after their wins, no respect no humility. Runs around like a idiot, making faces and disrespecting his opponents. He and his father are criminals

So every school in Alabama is a one trick pony when it comes to recruiting. bama recruits 13 linebackers and promises that they will be the "jack linebacker" and auburn recruits 13 offensive lineman and promises that they will be the starting LT from day one.

When did this happen? Alabama has recruited one LB specifically for Jack every recruiting cycle. We signed Courtney Upshaw in 2008, Ed Stinson in 2009, and Adrian Hubbard in 2010. Xzavier Dickson is the Jack LB for 2011.

He was exaggerating a bit but it goes back to a lot of kids that have been recruited by Bama for that position. You have to think back to those cycles to remember all th guys recruited for that position.Stinson was a late commit but i don't remeber the guys that were recruited besides him but i'm sure there were more. He's just the one that landed.I don't remember if he was the top target all along or not.Last year I know for a fact that Alfy Hill was recruited specifically for the Jack position and agreed to move over when Hubbard blew up at the end of the cycle. It's a moot point though. As long as Saban gets the kids to fill all the positions it doesn't matter.Teams can use whatever means they want to.To me Bama's biggest calling card is the "play whereever you want to" pitch.Hey if it works no problem but we all know that most of these kids have a specific position they are being looked at for and that pitch is just to keep them happy.Again no problem by me.You do what you've got to do.There's nothing dirty with those pitches.
As far as the jack and Dickson this year, who's the backup plan?UGA guys feel they've turned him. Also weren't you guys recruiting Rasco for that as well?Still looking at the TE commited to UF as well for the jack?(I forget his name)Thanks

With Addazio being hired as UT's new OL Coach, I don't see why Westerman would want to de-commit

Cat, you said it completely. I hate people like Cam Newton and his pony show. But lets talk in 2 years 2013 about this same guy and university and see how things are going then. Jizzick will be 5-19 over the last two year, Cam will be a highly paid flop in the NFL. Cam will end up getting shot & killed because of his mouth. Cecil in jail because he made his flock drink the poisionous koolaid (ala Jim Jones). Trooper will be that guy with the bagging the groceries at Winn Dixie. Pat Dye in jail. Prick Fairly retired with a knee injury!!

Not to mention Auburn will be on it's last leg for sanctions by NCAA.

LSU NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!! MARK IT DOWN!!!!

Rasco and Clowney have been offered for the Jack position, but I don't see either ending up at Alabama. I'm confident that Dickson will sign with Alabama. Outside of that, there may be another JUCO that pops up on the radar. Alfy Hill will resign in 2012.

I'm an LSU grad and die-hard LSU fan, but have spent a lot of time in Auburn. I don't know how it's all going to shake out with Cam but, if guilty, Chiz or whomever need to pay the price.

As for the atmosphere of Auburn vs. LSU, they are two totally different things. IMHO, if you're looking for a more rural, clean, family-oriented university, then it's Auburn. If you're looking for a larger metro area, not worried about chemical alley and want to party all the time, then it's LSU.

Each one has it's good things and bad things depending on who you ask.

I love LSU but prefer my daughter being at Auburn.

In 2 years Auburn will still have a culture of thuggery and LSU will still have Les Miles and a culture of under-performing football teams. I can't wait for the future.

Don't have a magic crystal you're right. but if teams were stocks i'm buying arkansas and holding lsu and shorting auburn. unless yall get rid of miles and crowton and then all bets are off. i support yall locking in miles and crowton to a similar contract we just locked petrino into.

LSUDAD just like to rag on people, but Arkansas will never win a championship with Petrino, not even an SEC Championship.
Auburn will get this year's taken from them.
LSU will keep recruiting studs and winning close to 10 games a year, with some Championships mixed in every four to five years

Yea the out on Petrino's contract is pay us a sh$t ton of $$$$.

So Petrino won't win an SEC champ huh? In 3 years he's taken a team barren of talent when Nutt left to the Sugar Bowl. He's beaten LSU 2 of 3 years and the loss was in OT at LSU. Considering he'll be at AR for another 5+ years that's a pretty bold statement.

How do you explain Arkansas's recent dominance over LSU when LSU has continually recruited better talent and athletes?

Look I'm not here to talk down to LSU, I have a ton of respect for the program, my second FAV team in the SEC, and keep up with the program closely. But y'alls coach is below average.

I love Less Miles!

I'll explain the Arkansas success against LSU for you.2007 McFadden and Jones. They were great players that can change the complex of any game or season. The last 3 all comes down to 1 person,Jordan Jefferson. There were other lapses the last 3 year but with even solid QB play we would have won all 3 games. No sour grapes though you guys just beat us with what both teams had.4 reasons why Arkansas will not win a SEC championship,Florida,Alabama,Auburn and LSU.No way Arkansas will get through all 4 any year unscathed.Sorry.
