Played against much inferior talent in high school and has been lazy at LSU. I remember in the Summer, he would have a great day of practice, and then you wouldn't hear about him for a week.

He has the talent, just has to get that consistency and drive in him

A lot of people are already writing him off, which I think is ridiculous

It's all on him...he'll be in his 3rd year in the program next year and we will be thin at DT, great time for him to make a move, we'll see

I am not sure if we are thin a tackle. Maybe more inexperienced but certainly talented. I hope Davenport turns a corner though. Him along with MB90, Ego, JD77, Freak, and Logan could become great. I have read Logan is turning heads of late and JC Copeland and Lavar Edwards could move to DT next year.

Let's hold off on the "lazy" talk. There's a big difference in being lazy and being inconsistent which is how his time at LSU has been. He's had days of great pad level and intensity and days of getting to high and driven back. I personally don't think he has the mentality for DT, but he doesn't want to play OL.

Played against him when in high school. I went to Benton and could not believe how highly touted he was because he did not play like a five-star athlete. He does have the size of a five-star though.

I have been told he is de-void of motor....not necessarily lazy, but more complacent/non-aggressive.

Some people thought Drake was overated too.... It takes time to develop, and he was a 5 star based off of potential, not what he was in high school
