Given the reputation of Chavis as a mediocre (at best) recruiter, I doubt LSU has much to worry about.

Amazing how some of you classless people trash a man that you held up in high esteem 3-4 years ago. While am certain happy to have Aanda here, I am grateful for the time he spent at LSU. His effort rouge s helped win a lot of class SEC games for LSU but sone of you gutless people can't help but take adolescent pot shots a him.

He sucks bro. Once the talent started to dry up he got eaten alive. Look how awesome Aggies D is. The guy is a complete sellout looking for his final payday.........all his time at LSU led him here today for a 3 star from Madison Prep.........Guys making 1.7 mill a year for a shitty product.......Good riddance.....Don't feel sorry for him......be thankful he's GONE

What is telling kids when he recruits? LSU's defense hasn't missed him at all and his defense at A&M for 2 years has absolutely sucked. I think A&M's defense was rated in the 60s or so. It was pretty bad.
Then there is that 6 game losing streak A&M has to LSU and Summy on the hot seat.
That is pretty tough stuff to recruit against.

I NEVER held Chavis in high esteem. I always told everyone that the ONLY reason that his defense worked at LSU was because of the high level of talent LSU provided.
Chavis blew 2 games vs. Bama, a bowl game vs ND, a bowl game vs. Clemson on a 4th and 17 where he had DBs playing 10 yards off and not pressuring their QB. Let's not forget the debacle vs. UGA either.
Chavis was vastly over-rated and it shows at A&M.
On top of everything else the a-hole left LSU in a chicken shite manner after laying down in the bowl game and not even speaking to his players. Scumbag.

You don't have 20+ years of being a highly sought and highly compensated DC in the SEC unless you are very good at your job.
I realize most all lsu fans hate him now because of how he left and the subsequent buyout issue.
