Bama, based on only having 17 current commits and their remaining targets that are on the board, are going to be hard once again to hold off for the top spot.

If we just finish with Fulton, Mullen & Scott, is it enough to hold on?

We want to take 27 or 28, so if we get to those numbers we have a pretty good chance to hold on.

It really depends on what they finish with.

Ole Miss will close strong as well.

its up to us. it depends on who we get way more so than who they get. we need fulton, mullen, and at least one more player of that quality. scott, martin are 3 stars that don't help much at all.

That was before everyone decided to stay, FYI. I highly doubt we take that many. I think the target is 25 or 26 now.

As it stands at this very moment with scholarship players on campus and committed recruits, we are 4 or 5 players over the limit.

Pretty sure Jimmy had an article out saying they still wanted more than 25 after they decided to return. Attrition can still happen before they enroll.

I'm pumped about this class no matter what. We have a good group of kids coming in. I'm just thankful things are looking up. Good class, 18 returning starters, better DC

Alabama will have a great close. They are pretty much penciled in to finish #1 in the composite

When Rivals and 247 dropped our current commit ratings, I think it sealed the deal that we wont get it, at least not in their rankings. We should get it on ESPN, which is prolly best just for publicity purposes. But they dropped our top guys a good bit and Ill be surprised if we dont get passed by Bama.

i don't think that is the case anymore or likely given the numbers. We will some attrition to get to 85

Jesus yall are negative. They will only maybe pass in rivals.

On 247 composite and 247 we are THIRTY points ahead. That's without Fulton, Mullen and whoever else we get.

They would have to sign every player they are in competition for. That will not happen

ESPN: we already have the record for most top ESPN 300. They can't catch up

I think 27 is the most we can take. 25 + 2 (two guys didn't make it to campus last year)

It's more important that LSU get the players we need and not the #1 ranking. To me, this looks like a balanced class. I'd like to see more LB's and of course the QB issue that plagues us.
