Very similar running styles. A combination of power and speed that is just plain fun to watch, especially when it's wearing P&G.. I attached a clip of Cecil " The Desil".. I was at this game. Really fun to watch him run again... Can anyone see any similarities in either JH or KH??

I really don't see a similar running style between any of them. Collins had good power, but he wasn't all that big, maybe 210. He had a lot of speed to the outside though. Hill is 225 and has decent speed but good lateral quickness. Hilliard is 235 and is a lot of power, but not so much speed and elusiveness. All great, but all different.

P.S. Of the two, Hill reminds me more of Collins than Hilliard

I can't get a handle on Hill, but Hilliard"s feet are amazing. Not great speed, but his lateral quickness, is special. Then, he has the power to finish. He should be special. When I see those Cecil highlights, I can't but help see Ridley, and the fact that the SEC has gotten alot faster on Defense.

A couple of the former LSU OL are still playing in the Pros. Todd McClure and Alan Faneca..

Both Hill and Hilliard are very good backs. We'll see once they get here.

No offense to Hill or Hilliard because I really like both of em but neither can do what Cecil could, period.

dunno about putting hill with collins and hilliard...

never saw hilliard or collins shy away from contact like hill does...

also those other two blocked/block when they don't have the ball.

Guess you can say this. But one thing is sure, not many thought Ridley would be the RB that he is at LSU.

I think he's just saying as far as talent level goes.

I played defense when we played against Cecil in high school.......not to mention against Anthony Thomas, if any of you remember who he was, and Cecil was like nothing I'd ever seen.

He was so damn fast, could trip you up, but then half the time he would just plow over you when you were expecting him to juke........and when you were expecting him to plow forward, he'd jump to the side, spin around, and be gone in a cloud of dust.

Guy was special.......too bad he wasted it.

I'm not trying to be rude but if you were old enough to see Cecil play you wouldn't be saying his name with Hill or Hilliard.

With me, age is not a problem.....

Who broke Cecils records in high school?

I don't doubt that we have some young studs on the roster but the things Collins did were simply above anything Ford or Hilliard have done.

CamdenTiger got it right ,I think Ridley looks the closest. And if Ridley would lose 10 pounds and go from 235 to 220-225 range, You might think he is Cecil.

Nobody playing football today in highschool, college or even the pros has what cecil had during his short stint at LSU....crazy thing is the dudes heart wasnt even in it.....it was all a big joke to him....if he was serious and commited himself to the profession i honestly think he would have been in the top 3 RB of all time...what a waste

Ridley certainly has a similar running style...slightly less speed.

No one will ever think Ridley does anything like Cecil.

I haven't seen a running back since Cecil that has his combination of great vision, lateral quickness and ability to shoot through a hole, amazing balance, surprising power, and just feel......he always knew when to drive through the defender and when to pump his legs and push forward for the few extra yards.......but also when to use his quickness and vision to leave a defender with jelly legs and an arm full of air.

He could have been a legend at LSU, in the NCAA, and in the pros.
