Can Anyone Explain The Results in This Chart?

Top prospects in 2005 and 2009

I am very confused. How are so many of the guys shorter 4 years later? 40 times have lots of factors, but any idiot can measure someone. Mark Sanchez is more than an inch shorter at 22

The NFL measures with no shoes on and feet spread out about 4" to 6" apart not heel to heel. All college football players measure shorter with the pro's than when they were in college. I was 6'3" in highschool and with the scouts I was barely 6'1".

Steroids will do that. What I'm confused about is his change in height.
