Seems like to me your post about Alleman was relevant to the offer of a scholarship to Gamble...and certainly there is a big ? mark about Hairston considering he has yet to kick 1 single college FG.
BTW, here is something I will bring up again later, but apparently 24/7 for an "unrated" player like Gamble assigns a 70 to the composite ranking of the guy. That is why LSU went from an average of almost 91.5 to one less than 90. Wow!! Won't go through the math but that SUCKS! Just because a guy isn't ranked doesn't mean he is a nothing player but that is how they counted Gamble! Of course, they do that to other unranked players also but that is steep punishment to say the least. IMO, that brings their entire rating system to a level of no integrity. IF you want to not rate a player, then don't count him in the average. If you want to rate everyone, then do that. But don't just say, "oh, we don't want to create a rating for him so we will just arbitrarily assign him a horrible score of 70"

He'll probably end up a 3 star with a rating around 80.
Scouting kickers and punters isn't their forte. But I'm sure Gamble will get bumped up eventually.

im happy for the kid and hopefully it pays off for us. it's unfortunately that the greatest game known to man is still often times decided by soccer players. it just shows you that nothing is perfect in life. viva fOOtball! viva LSU!

Yeah, to be fair to them after what I said, the services all pretty much give 0 respect for kickers....which IMO is total nonsense. I think the Alabama kicker got like 2 or 3 offers total, so Rivals soared him to a 5.5 or something. (low 3*)
