I have difficulty valuing posters who take this position. It's erroneous. There have been large, long-term statistical studies which demonstrate almost indisputably that there is a strong correlation between star ranking and on-field performance, both at an aggregate level and an individual level. The rankings are anything but "notoriously inaccurate."

Why is this still here? This is for LSU recruiting, he is tigerbait now. Until he changes his mind, this should be anchored or over on the Gump Recruiting Board!!!

At what point do we become concerned that we can't keep the best Louisiana players any more? We have great talent in the state, but it's not going to do us any good playing for the other teams in our league.
I don't have a chart of how many it's been lately, but 10 years ago, or even 5, losing the #1 player in the state was unusual for us. Now it's pretty much a given.

I'm OK with the "stays healthy" part, but I hope his career is the biggest flop in history. frick Alabama. And frick anyone who plays for them. I don't give a shite where they're from.

I have a nephew who goes to nlu or whatever its called now, and he told me 2 weeks ago that CR had a new vehicle then, and said his handlers had gotten a shite load of money to see that he would go to Alabama. He also told me it was a done deal as for as where he would go to school, and had been for many months .Any of you guys from Monroe, does the name King ring a bell ? if not , ask around.

Yeah, in actuality we keep pretty much all of our elite recruits, except for maybe 1 or 2 a year. But believe what you want.
People getting hung up on this guy being the number one guy, or that guy being the number one guy. There isn't even a consensus that CR is the #1 LA recruit.
Every talent-rich state loses a few of their top recruits to OOS schools. I don't know why people think LA and LSU should be immune from that.

In addition, Sims bragged about a package deal to Bama. The signs was there and now they are pressuring Hootie to go with them. This is a wake up call for LSU fans and staff you got Bama, Texas A&M, and others that have infiltrated Louisiana to grab our best players.
He all but said so at the end of his commitment video. His eyes lit up big time when the announcer asked him about being at Sims' announcement. Said they'd been friends since 3rd grade it was a huge push for him when Sims announced.
I did notice his mother hardly smiled during the whole video...and she was wearing a yellow/gold sweater. An olive branch to LSU? I also noticed they didn't ask his parents how they felt about his decision...maybe they remember April Justin?

Nuts4LSU - shhhhhhhh, as John Coffey said "careful, careful" all the posi-tigers are going to rip you a new a**hole for trying to say something is wrong.
Just to clarify for you here is your chart;
2012 - they pulled 2 players #1 in-state recruit "5 stars" and #2 in-state recruit 4 stars.
2013 - they pulled 2 players #4 in-state recruit "4 stars" and #12 in-state recruit "4 stars"
2014 - as of today - they have 3 verbals - #1 in-state recruit "5 stars," #14 in-state recruit "4 stars" and #19 in-state recruit "3 stars" and unfortunately I have the sick feeling they are not done yet this year.
That is not a good trend by any means and this is starting to become a problem. But don't worry about it as all the posi-tigers will tell you we pull OOS kids all the time and no one bitches. Losing the #1 recruit in the nation or "#2 or #3 depending on service" that was a die-hard tiger fan is not a big deal we can replace him. So all is good, Les Miles and staff has got this!!!

LF is the one worth melting down over. Not CR.
If LF and Hootie go elsewhere, they may want to shut this board down for a while.

Yeah its unfortunate simply as far as I would have liked to see this young studs from the state come in together and then go to the NFL together and hopefully succeed. Cam has no other agenda than to land a spot in the NFL. despite what people feel, They have had a good O-line but no great success at creating all pro's in the NFL. Andre Smith is the last pro-bowler from bama in the NFL. Mark my words, Lael and Hawkins will both be first rounders. Congrats to cam. Hope he reads a book or two while he's there.
