Cam Cameron and the TALL recievers

seems like we never brought in guys over 6'0". We'd have a occasional 6'-2" guy, but now all of a sudden we're pulling em in at 6'4", 6'5" and 6'6" and I LOVE IT.

I really dont care how tall a player is.
If he can play, I want him.
This past season we had 1 of the most prolific passing attacks in the game, and our top 2 WRs were 6'0. And both are going to be drafted in the top 2-3 rounds.
The height thing is overplayed on here a lot.

Billy Gonzales didn't really bring in tall guys, maybe one or two.
But before and after him we've made them targets.

I somewhat agree, but if you don't have big tall targets you better have a good QB.

I love this right here. We need to get back to being dangeous in the redzone through the air. We haven't thron 25 TDs through the air in a single season since 2007 and that has got to change. We have the QBs, we have the coaching AND plying calling, now all we need, is the mismatching.
This year we will have 6'2 Upchurch, 6'2 Peterson, 6'2 Dural, 6'3 Spears, 6'3 Dupre, and 6'4 Leslie. We are going away from shorter guys (although Beckham was great). Landry is like 6'0.5"-1" and that is considered average for a WR.
With TEs like Washington and Smith, we should dominate in the Red. I'm predicting 28+ TDs. While passing yards will go down, we will score more.

Meh... not necessarily true. A bad QB doesnt always miss high or overthrow his WRs. If I had a QB that wasnt too good, I would rather have a WR like Jarvis that knows how to get open and is reliable than just a big WR. It makes the pass easier for the QB.
Taller WRs have their strengths and weaknesses. And shorter WRs have their strengths and weaknesses as well.
The hardest route for a DB to cover is the quick slant. Most of the time when you throw the quick slant, the QB puts the ball low and away from the DB, which makes it harder for the DB to make a play on the ball. Its harder for a 6'4+ guy to get down low and make that catch than it is for a 6'0 guy.
I just think how tall a WR is, is overrated. And very rarely do you have tall WRs in college that are polished and can run every route and make every catch. AJ Green comes to mind. He could do that. Ive said it since his JR year, but Dupre is the best WR prospect to come out since AJ and Julio Jones year. I believe he can be a polished WR and make every catch as well. Jordan Matthews was like this for Vandy as well.
But most of the tall guys at the college level are strictly deep ball / jump ball WRs. Mike Evans comes to mind. And he was great for TAMU because of how Manziel was basically a broken play QB guy and Evans would just take off. But we did a great job of taking Evans away because we took the deep ball away.

The reason we dont have that many passing TDs is because we run the ball in the redzone.
Doesnt matter how you get in the endzone, as long you get in there. And our bread and butter recently has been running the ball to get in the endzone.
And with an inexperienced QB and WRs, I dont see how we will throw for 28TDs. Especially when our most experienced unit the OL, and have Magee coming back and LF coming in.

Well so would I.
But with inexperienced players at the WR and QB spot, I think we rely heavy on the run and pass off the PA.
And I also would rather dominant teams in the running game. You take the fight out of them by churning out 4 yards each time you hand it off. You can make them quit. And you control the clock.

Yup. Bring back the fade in the red zone. Last one I saw was D Byrd vs Auburn.
