I still don't understand offering Tua. Kid was a lonnnnnnhhhshot to begin with and is a no chance now. Why even make that offer? Absolutely no upside to it, and Brennan leaving would not be good.

I think the theory was to make the bama recruits think we're bringing in Kiffin and to make Alabama play defense on the recruiting trail before the dead period. But it blew up in our face.

You realize he's already coming in competing with a fellow 4 * QB in this class in LN and going to compete with Lindsey Scott next year. I'm pretty sure he isn't afraid of competition, but you don't betray a kid who has been solid to LSU for over a year and has been actively recruiting for us by saying the stuff that O said and offering yet another QB

TigerFanNKaty, I am sure Coach O knows a whole lot more about this situation than anyone here on the rant or outside the program. Really? Sources are saying that........"? But as a reminder: remember the QB named Phillipe Franks & what he did to LSU year? We held off on recruiting any other QB based on his word. And looked what happened. And CLM & Coach Cam were ripped here for only recruiting one QB.

YOu people saying you're confused by this move because "O is such a great recruiter!" ... I keep telling you, it is a *completely* different ballgame being the HC/closer on stud QBs than it is being a DL position coach closer on DL studs. O has credibility and can talk the language with the latter. O is showing himself to have very little credibility on the former.

Being a great recruiter as a position coach does not even remotely equate to hauling in an even, highly rated class across offense/defense/ST as the head man.

I'm sorry but that thread was a bunch of BS. You can tell Narcisse that his skillset fits what we want to do while also telling Brennan that the best player will play. The two are not mutually exclusive. You guys will take any bullshite some anonymous poster says as gospel and an opportunity to shite on a coach that has been in the position for two weeks.
