This is real funny considering one of the reasons why O was hired to begin with.
Some guys just can't wait to rag CEO's hiring every chance that they get.
One of the reasons that many like the CEO hire was that he would keep this class largely intact and continue to recruit well. Nobody ever said that he would be able to pull in most of the five star targets in the two months that are left in this class.

We haven't won sht in a very long time. A lot of these kids want to go somewhere that has. We are rebuilding our image and status right now. We win and the recruits will come back. We just wasted the greatest talent to walk through Tiger Stadium and others see that.
This is a pretty ignorant statement. How can we waste the greatest talent if we didn't have it to begin with?? LSU under Miles consistently recruited at a very high level, regardless of how our seasons finished. See 2008 and 2009.

If i remember correctly, he is the one who said he was hoping Jimbo came here.

The reason Akers leans to Florida State is not Orgeron or Canada. It is outside their control. It's Deriius Guice.
Guice might be the best back in the country next year. Akers wants to be the man right away. Yes, Florida State has other backs in front of Akers, but no one like a Guice.
Miles took a big gamble in not going for other running backs in front of Fournette recruitment. It paid off. Fournette wanted to play right away and LSU gave him that chance.
I am sure LSU is telling Akers he will split time with Guice, but I think he wants someone to split time with him.
Early playing time is always a big deal with super star recruits. They might be willing to sit in the bench at Alabama for a good chance in their sophomore or junior year to play for a national championship, but not for most schools.
It's a big loss if LSU misses on him, but you never know. Next year LSU may get another great running back who would not have come to play behind Akers. Etienne is a good back up plan.
Some lesser recruited backs blossom in college. Marshall Faulk and Dalton Hilliard were not super star backs coming out of high school. Gary James was, and he was good, but Hilliard was better.

Yet your second sentence shows which of us really made the most ignorant statements. Where have you been? Yes, Les wasted LF7, Leonard Fournette with the shttiest coaching in the country. No real offense. Just toss dive when everyone knew it was coming.
People here do not like the truth. You can show people stats of players they uplift that they bashed another player for. You can show the decline of a program statistically and they still only see what they want. We have to win the games that matter again before anyone will take us seriously again.

Even so, LSU will be fine at RB.
We always are

oh hey guess what.

Probably true, but it's a shame. Canada is able scheme to put multiple RBs on the field. If he's as advertised he would still get plenty reps as a freshman.

Didn't someone already mention that the CB was mentioned a week or 2 ago? If so that was before the Canada hire.
People, myself included, get the timing on the CBs wrong all the time. And forget it can be fluid.

He said it his self that Guice being there is a positive so he could get his feet wet while learning the system and being the man the following season. He could be great as an LSU tiger!

I'd like to see where Shea Dixon has him going.

He doesn't have a CB in on Akers yet.

Best thing LSU has in its corner over FSU is distance.
Only about 2.5 hours from Clinton to BR.
I think he ends up at FSU though. Hope I'm wrong.
