I've been talking about picking up him and Willie Baker since earlier this year. It's not like we are high on a bunch of top rated DE prospects' list, and these guys look good enough to play here. Some people also think Sullivan will be coaxed into playing DE (which I'm all for).

I catch most of the Denham Springs games and Roddy has been impressive at times. Teams tend to run away from him, and rightfully so; he's the best player on Denham's roster. He plays a lot more aggressively than one time LSU commit, Tevin Lawson did a few years ago for Denham.

I've seen some pretty good highlight films of him; however, I also saw him get "trucked" by Guice last year.(On Guice's highlight film) In fairness though, I saw a lot of good players get trucked by Guice.

With the D-Line talent in state this year, I think Roddy would be a project player that would need a red shirt year to adjust to SEC play. If we miss out on some of those higher rated D-linemen on our board, I could see him receive a late offer.

Saw him play 4 times this season, definitely has talent and size to be a sec de but he definitely has an attitude and consistently got unsportsmanlike penalties

Keep in mind he is a year younger than the other 2016 kids. Should be a 2017 kid by age. Means some kids in his class are a full 2 years older. Maturity both emotionally and physically will come.

Fwiw, I coached the kid in basketball when he was younger (7th grade)

1.) Getting trucked by Guice is not mark against his record.

2.) He's probably 2-3 years younger than Guice, despite only being one year behind.

Guice is 17 still...won't be 18 until July so is Roddy 15?

Is this the recruit that Arkansas has been flooding his girlfriends mail with letters? I remember Larry posting something about it.

Stated today that Arkansas was no longer his leader due to the amount of offers he's been getting. Sounds overwhelmed and understandably so. He's been getting a ton of offers lately.
