Bryan Jones committed to ole miss,it's a good thing because him making that move so early lets the staff know they can move on ,but signing day is in Feb ,and knowing Lsu...we don't give up so easy!!!

I'm not sure he has an offer yet form LSU. I know from what I read that Coach O and Aranda met with him and he has been on campus a couple of times. But what I read didn't say he had been extended an offer. I could be way off on that but I just didn't see it. If he is rated the #6 DE in the country and from Baton Rouge, why wouldn't we offer him early?

Exactly, texastiger. Read the tea leaves, and you see that staff has a deeper concern than his football abilities

Could easily be wrong, but that is how it reads

He's letting a staff that never extended him an offer know that they can move on?

Looks like we are pretty interested but not enough so to make an offer just yet. I would be surprised if an offer doesn't come down the road.

Madison Prep defensive end Bryan Jones is getting looks from schools across the country, with the four-star prospect's scholarship total now sitting at 29 offers.

While LSU has not offered the Baton Rouge standout yet, the Tigers were the first school to drop in on the nation's No. 7 strongside defensive end this week during the spring evaluation period, with defensive line coach Ed Orgeron making his presence felt on Wednesday morning.

"When I got there for morning workouts, he was already in the building ready to watch," Jones said. "I had gotten there at 5 a.m. on the dot pretty much, and he was already standing in there in his LSU gear waiting. That was pretty cool to see him showing that kind of interest. It let me know he was serious.

"Coach O couldn't really talk with me because of the evaluation rules, but he was able to watch the workout and give me coach some feedback. He let me know to just keep working hard and have patience, and that an offer could still come. He was impressed, he just wants me to keep working on my body movements and getting stronger. But he did say they liked me a lot."

I think LSU will offer once he camps. I wouldn't worry about this one.

Because he has a lot of work to do in the classroom. Typically how LSU plays it with in-state guys who are borderline to qualify. Let them know they would have an offer if the grades were there, keep recruiting them, but that they need to get that straight first. That's what the "meetings" are for. IIRC this is how it went down with Sci Martin and Drake Davis.

Elite? LSU hasn't offered an "elite" player in Baton Rouge?

LSU has signed several athletes from Madison Prep in the past so what are you insinuating?

I'm insinuating that he won't have his grades. And Jarrell and Sampson had to do major summer course stuff in order to enroll at LSU

On 247 sports his only predictions were for LSU and Texas.

This is going to be a long recruiting battle for his services.
