As far as ED White, Todd was never a big fan of Vandy or ED White; hence how he ended up at Brother Martin.
Well something must have happened with EDW because Todd is an alumni. Who knows.

I know the family very well, as well. Frank Wilson advised the family to explore high schools that would give him more exposure, given the talent he had. He also needed a school with high academic aesthetic appeal with his GPA. Brother Martin was a perfect fit that gave Jake both. he has excelled at both, so the move paid off!
Their move was in Jake's best interest and had nothing to do with Vandy, ED White, HL, or anything else anyone assumes.

Weeden was also a failed baseball player who was a 24yo Freshman. Also, MLB teams are required to pay for college for players they draft so that might explain why he was a walkon. I can't find anything about his high school recruitment but he was All-State in OK HS football, so I'm guessing he had scholarship offers for football back then.

No they aren't. It's built in to many contracts, but it is not a requirement.
