LSU is still where Brennan, who set the state’s career records for passing yards and passing touchdowns this season, is tied to the most.

“Obviously, I love it,” Brennan said. “I wouldn’t have committed there if I didn’t. I was there every home game. I committed under Les Miles and Cam Cameron and stayed through the ups and downs of trying to find a coach and now it is just another bump in the road to try to find an offensive coordinator. I love it down in Baton Rouge and I am hoping everything can work out.”

My hope is that O has reached out by phone and told Myles and his dad to be patient. Once they get an OC they will come visit and get this worked out. It's the most logical sequence.

So in other words, this isn't on Brennan at all. Coach O and the new OC are the deciders. Kind of goes against all the nonsense and whining that Brennan may choose someone else because O offered Tua. If he's not here it's because our staff doesn't want him. I'm ok with that. Happens at every position, every year. If the staff isn't sold on him then no reason to be upset. Not like Miles and cam have an incredible track record of evaluating qbs.

Sounds like orgeron told him they are moving the offense in a different direction so once they do name an oc that will tell him what he needs to know.

I realize alot of people here dislike O, but if anyone believes he hasn't talked to the kid about this situation, then I don't know what to say. The man isn't dumb.

I don't know what O told him directly, if anything, but O came out publicly in favor of some version of spread offense and a dual threat QB, and then followed that up with an offer to the #1 dual threat QB in the country. The message seems pretty clear to me, at this point. Some say Kiffin can adapt his offense to the QB's talents, but it's hard enough to effectively teach and get good execution of one offensive scheme. I doubt we can implement an offense that can be effectively executed by both Brennan and any dual threat QB built to excel in a spread running scheme. I doubt if what fits one will be very good for the other, and if you try to split the difference to accomodate both QBs, you probably won't get the best from either of one of them. Just my two cents.

First of all how can you question Brennan''s commitment to LSU at any point through this dibacle. He did not waiver becsuse of Tua offer it was because of the coaches mixed messages about what he is looking for in a qb and lack of naming an OC to determine that direction. Also the head coach told him that he was formulating a back up plan where the qbs are concerned. Brennan told him he would do the same thing.

Brennan and family have been classy through entire process.

Very impressed with this young man. He seems to have those intangibles needed to be special.

I don't see Kiffin ending up here. I hope LSU moves on and the OC and Brennan fit works out.

IMO O could have handled this better.

Kiffin isn't coming here. Too many fine ladies at USF.
