What effect does this have on Howard? I wonder if he and BK or he and Brennan had ever walked through this possibility.

Im guessing Howard will redshirt and this gives him that opportunity to not be thrown into the fire immediately.
As much a people shite on Brennan this decision is exactly why the fans who defend him do. He wants to be the starter at LSU and he wants to be great. If he stays healthy and the defense doesn’t allow 35 plus points a game this team will contend immediately. Im glad to have Brennan back to prove the doubters wrong.

Howard most likely red shirt next year and compete with Nuss for the starting job after Brennan leaves. I trust Kelly because of his handling of past QBs and how it benefited his teams.

I’m sure that’s part of how it plays out, but i’m not making any big revelations when I say that either Walker or Nuss will transfer out if they aren’t starting by next year.
