Harris' system is the one that is different. Damn near 100% from the gun. They motion guys around, speed option, zone, often times they line up in a formation. and the coaches will signal in what they like. I'm looking forward to seeing if he's better at reading the D and if they give him more 3 route progressions.

Jennings is an exceptional passer. I don't know if Harris is.

SteveLSU35,
You've seen Harris play a good deal.
What is your assessment of him?

We have Jennings and I want Harris. Each one's skills and talents would be assets to any program. I want to see both wearing purple and gold,

I see a young man who has all the skills to be a major threat at the QB position. At first I thought he might be great at another position, but his arm strength is there. I also see a guy who relies a little to much on his arm and feet than his reads, but it works in HS football. I've never sat in with their staff, but on film it looks like he might have a route called or one or two man routes and if that doesn't work take off. He has a few excellent HS WR's. Not the biggest but can run/catch/and get open. I've heard from everyone around him he's a great kid.

Like I said earlier I would love to see him roll out and read 1,2,and hit his 3. But, with that team they get the ball out quick in space...you think it's speed option and then a seam is open down the middle.

The kid is an exceptional athlete. I have seen his film, but he is more in the mold of a Michael Vick with the running and passing. He is a talent no doubt. But people give Jennings a bad rap because he's black by thinking he is another athlete QB when in fact he is a passer first. He will run if neccessary, but he would rather pass. And he throws the football with excellent touch. He throws the football with the type of velocity on the ball that the throw requires. He played primarily in a west coast styled offense in HS.

Agreed. QB's learn mental habits in their HS games, and 3-4 years of running exclusively from the gun with 4-5 wide outs has not proven to translate well to SEC championship QB play.

Jennings is much more in-line with what does translate to SEC championship success.

Harris has a great work ethic. When he first got to Parkway, he had no feet, no rhythm, and no pocket presence. Kid was up at the field for hours working at it. He also wasn't very fast and worked on that to gain speed.

So that's why I'm slow and clumsy!

Jennings is the more accurate passer and Harris seems to have better foot speed. Jennings also has some thickness on him. Harris looks more like a WR right now.

Yep Harris and Kizer both look like WRs and would have to put on about 20 or so more lbs if they want to run(QB) in the SEC.

Kizer is a bit lanky but he has the frame to fill out. I think Jennings played at 205 during his senior year of HS.
