I love the part when he says that he knew when he visited 3 weeks ago and he told the tenn coaches then. Hmmmmmm....I wonder what they told him to do with that info??? Maybe to keep it to himself so they could lockup other recruits such as Myles.

Again, bringing coaching careers into.........so freaking histerical.......

So if Jackson chose LSU and played 4 years here and didn't pan out in the NFL he felt he had no opportunity to be a coach in LA.........

Also, if Jackson new 3 fricking weeks ago that he wanted to play for UTknox why not just decommit then and then allow us to weigh our options.

Guidry should know better than this.

Monte Kiffin 70+ year old legend who hasn't schemed against the spread offense in his career probably

or Ron Cooper a young buck who has like 5 1st round picks under his belt in the last 5 years at the kids respective position.

or John Chavis who has coordinated SEC defense since Jackson was in diapers.......

Amazing. All so fricking histerical

"Janzen wants to be a coach,’’ Guidry, who coached this past season at McNeese State and formerly was head coach at Carencro, said. "He’s wanted to be a college coach his whole life. He knows that he’ll be learning from the best. He knows that he could have a coaching job there (at Tennessee) some day, as an assistant or maybe as a graduate assistant. So it was a career decision also, not just a playing decision.’’

This is the part I don't get. we just hired the best secondaries coach in the country, who would be JJ's direct advisor and he isn't good enough to learn from? Oh well

Jackson, who had publicly maintained his LSU commitment until Thursday, said he informed Tennessee coaches of his final decision Tuesday night after having indicated to them during his official visit three weeks ago that UT was where he wanted to play.

"Coach (Lane) Kiffin and Coach Orgeron were pumped,’’ Jackson said. "I actually told them that Tennessee was where I wanted to be when I visited up there, but it’s hard to leave home with your family and friends. . . . I just felt in my heart that Tennessee was where I wanted to be and I didn’t think I would be happy if I didn’t follow my heart.’’

Guidry said he informed LSU Coach Les Miles of his son’s decision via telephone prior to the press conference. Jackson has not spoken to Miles, Guidry said, and took no calls Wednesday night after missing school earlier that day.

This little pussy had to let his daddy do his dirty work for him.

Strong

The Monte Kiffin obession is ridiculous, we all know he was one of the best D-coordinators in the NFL. Point Taken.

The NFL isn't college in terms of scheme and personnel.

I'm glad they are so confident in Kiffin being a guru in the SEC but it's been a long time since he coached in college so long in fact that the game has changed drastically from what he knew about the game.

I can't wait to see what he can do against the spread.

Not sure he'll have the physical freak needed at MLB to run his Tampa 2.

How long has Monte been there? A month or two?
Dirty move. Maybe not illegal, but dirty.

JJ better be the second coming of Eric Berry.

I agree 100%. Monte was a great d coord in the NFL absolutely, but college and NFL are apples and oranges. We have a coach in Ron Cooper who has proven he can develop secondary talent and run schemes that have been the best in the SEC. SC was the best team against the pass in the SEC last year and that is with inferior talent. JJ could have learned all he needed from him.
