re: Beckwith to Bama???

i follow lsu recruiting here and 247. so if i read about a rumor i may want to ask about it over here to see if anyone may know it to be true or not. it wasnt anything other than a comment by someone. nothing else. believe me i wasnt being pissy about it. if i posted a link for ex: a one on one with shea and preist or something i could understand that. i wouldnt do that. this was a comment from a poster that i was intrigued about, and i wanted to know if someone else had heard anything bout it

There are always rumors that are flying around.Bottom line is if a kid doesn't bleed purple and gold then good luck to him and his family.We just need to embrace the kids that want to be "Tigers" and forget the others because in the end they really don't matter.If a kid doesn't have the "chest" to be a "Tiger", let him go elsewhere.

I am thinking the guy that posted it on 247 did so because he wanted their people to investigate it. He probably chose to post it there because he didn't want to start a meltdown. Now some kid comes over here and basically starts this rumor without having any kind of conformation.

Maybe the guy that told the story in the barber shop was a fan of another school. Maybe he wanted to piss the guy off. My parents live in Ruston and the Tech yahoos over there tell me all kinds of similar things that never pan out. They usually are just trying to get me riled up.

If this story is true the LSU coaches are the only ones that matter as far as someone from LSU needing to know about it. LSU signed enough good LB's last year and is in on enough good DE's this year to not have to save a place for anybody. They are not going to be hurt by another LC situation.

Everyone needs to just chill out and enjoy this great 2013 class. It is going to be a great one. Geaux Tigers!

If Beckwith goes to Bama, would LSU look to move on a guy like Claiborne, or has that ship completely sailed with the Melvin Jones pick up? I assumed LSU was recruiting Beckwith as a LB, is that right?

I think if Beckwith goes to Bama, LSU shuts down the LB recruiting.

I, for one, wouldn't care if he went to Bama anyhow. He'll be #7 in line for that glorious Jack spot and wouldn't see the field until 2015. Besides that, there's a high chance that he could be moved to DE. LSU has plenty of those and plenty of LB's between last year, Jones this year, and I'd imagine they'd land 2-3 next year.

For the 1,000th time, there's nothing Alabama can offer that LSU can't, so each time one of these kids choose to go somewhere else.......there's more to the situation than what you see on the cover.

Tired of hearing how we are stealing from 247.

We (LSU) cannot win National Champioships with just La. kids on the roster..

I appauld what the staff is doing this year with all of the out of state commits, that is what builds a National Powerhouse Team.

For me, Melvin Jones was more of a "must" player than Beckwith. I have no issues with Mr. Beckwith and it is his right to play anywhere that he wants.

But La. kids in the future cannot expect that LSU will wait for certain La. players to do their little dance...

In the old days state pride was everything, but in the day of the BCS, National TV contracts and the future Playoffs there is too much money and exposure for the schools and Coaches are feeling the heat to peform.

In the future if LSU offers a player, he better make an adult decision quickly or he will be left behind.
