Basketball Recruiting Board

With early national signing day for basketball about 2 months away would be appreciated if a basketball recruiting board could be stickied to identify the recruits Jones and staff are pursuing, the level of interest and the competition for their signatures.

The threads don't make themselves. If you want a basketball thread, make one and keep it updated.

I think you have this site mixed up with a paid site lol.

We sold our soul for Simmons last year and it failed
Just can Jones after this season and rebuild everything from the ground up

Dude...we have 2 5-star players on our team right now. It's not too often LSU can say that. We are not in shambles, despite what people like you say. There is no need to "rebuild everything from the ground up" when you have good talent already on the roster.

I'm going to wait before I judge how bad this team will be. We could be one of the worst in the SEC or we could be better than last year. It all depends on how the good the juco kids are and how well guys like Sampson and Epps develop.

Every post about LSU basketball deteriorates into negativity toward Johhnny Jones. I fyou want to be critical when things dont go well you have to also applaud the fact he has averaged 20 wins per year and has never had a losing SEC record. Even with a converted tuba player at center he fielded very competitive teams.
This year's team will be in thetop half of league standings and will likely finish in the top five of the conference. They need to win the right no conference games and a win or two in the tourney and they may be dancing in March.
Still looking for a recruiting tracker to be posted.

You are going to have to make your own bball recruiting thread. Nobody wants to spend an hour + to make a thread. Most people don't have much recruiting info either.

There have been basketball recruiting threads in past years similar to the ones up now for baseball and football. I assume there is moderator for this board who is updating those threads and tracking boards. Would be nice to have a similar one for basketball.

It's not moderators. Just people like project who enjoys following recruiting and doesn't mind taking the time to make and update the thread.

After Ben Love and the scout team broke up, there is no actual LSU site or journalist who knows good hoops recruiting info. It's just national writers talking about big names or seldom coverage of local Louisiana prospects.

OK, then making a request for anyone who follows it closely enough and has the time to create a basketball recruiting thread. Seems like we get the occasional crystal ball report on a player or , but would be nice if there was flow like the other sports recruiting threads.

Getting rid of Simmons is all the Basketball needed. One and done was done before he got to LSU.

With all the time and effort you've spent in this thread, you could've already had a thread made with our commits, and asked for help with other prospects and then edited them into your OP.

I know I can go to 247 or Rivals etc, but seemed in the past we had a few posters who truly had some insights or legit connections to keep up with it.Maybe friendships with coaches or connections to the AAU circuit, not just the my aunt works with his third cousin and word is ....
Maybe those guys have moved on to other things but would be nice to have some reasonably legit information every once in a while.

Those guys are still here. Just no desire to share info when every thread is a bashing thread. Some of the ones who have done it in the past have posted in this thread.

I imagine some of the hoops posters have had enough of the program, and have gone on to bigger and better things. Same shite, just no idea of what to do ON GAME DAY !

Just start a commitment/prospect thread, and ask mods to keep the bashing out. They're usually pretty good about keeping stuff like that pretty clean.

I did a post on basketball recruiting here - LINK
I was kind of shocked that Darcy left so late in the summer or at least didn't announce before then. It was also rumored that Bridgewater was being asked to leave but CJJ denied that. I think that despite how short he is Bridgewater could be effective as a post up guy because he has some moves down there. I think the coaching staff's unhappiness with him is that they expect him to shed some weight so he can run better and be more active on defense.
