There is a thing that happens to boys age 12-13. You may want to look it up. This thing has a tendency to completely change personalities and athletic abilities.

The worst player on said travel team is just as likely as the best player to go D1.

Posting about a 12 year old makes you look like a crazy person. After you get your info? You would be wise to delete this thread.

don't take anything that happens before playing on 60-90 fields seriously...... especially with the early bloomers..

also... nothing they do with a bat matters till they get BBCOR in their hands

60-90 fields
bbcor
and the other kids hitting puberty

are the 3 great equalizers...

the list of 12,13 and 14 year old studs especially those with outlier birthdates that falter after hitting HS is very long....

then their is the 4th.....as they get older the kids on the mound and at the plate they face get better and more athletic - the have nots quit playing.....

signed dad of kid with offers....

Yes but south Mississippi is notorious for its coaches not getting kids exposure. I had to find out about football recruiting myself. Me and my dad did all of our stuff for football. Just didn't know how it worked with baseball.

hang on kemosabe.... the guys coaching after High School make a living on finding kids that can play and then continuing their development......

if a kid is in pickens county alabama.......and can play.....

everyone that needs to know... does....

There is no way to know if he's going to be a D-1 baseball prospect or not. Worrying about whether or not a 12 year old kid is being "seen" by scouts is ridiculous.

The best thing the kid can do is keep it fun, teach him the fundamentals, and let him play the game.

If he keeps developing, great; but if he doesn't he can still look back and say he had a great time.

I've seen the best player in a top league who were 12 not even play high school baseball. I've seen good players, in a top league, who were 12 but were behind better players on their own team make it to the Majors and win multiple world series rings.

And if MLB can find guys in Latin America who don't even have shoes, they will find your nephew if he's got what it takes.

If he's 5 10" he's hit puberty and has a huge advantage.. all he can do is keep playing and start the camp circuit when he's closer to high school.. he'll eventually need to find a showcase team such as marucci elite..

You guys selling the camp circuit.......the camp circuit only works.. when coaches from the next level contact you wanting your kid there......

if your kid is just one of the ones paying the bills for the camp....... well.....if you know how it works.... bazinga
