Speedy may not end up being "the" receiver, but he'll be all over the place for them. The guy you always have to account for... and you can't use a LB, maybe not even a S. That's the "role" he mentioned, and what Sumlin sold him on.
Saw them run the Jet Sweep and a couple reverses with number 6 against Duke. I assume that will be Devante's role.

thinking the same... movement and misdirection to get him the ball behind the LOS sometimes, others to create mismatches to get him the ball down the field.

By the way...
I while back I became convinced 504 Soulja IS Speedy. Yah, I know... tinfoil hat stuff. That's why I kept asking him "what can LSU do to convince Speedy to come over", a question he never answered, even with a "I don't know". That and when Speedy took off for St Pete we pretty much did not hear from him anymore for the most part (were a couple of posts). That's my conspiracy theory for 2013.

Quinn hasn't been in much and has spent the same amount of time pass blocking for his QBs

I hate to say it, but Quinn hasn't blocked shite. I'm a little disappointed in that.

Now, it's an all star game, so I'm sure that has something to do with it, but he's barely jogged in front of some guys that were in position to make a tackle if the runner broke free.

Where you at the game? I was! Quinn blocked throughout the game. The disappointment is in the fact that the best receiver at the game was not thrown to. He dominated practice all week. But of course you are an expert I'm sure.....way to support a futuretiger! Go ahead, tell me how you made all state and sprung tons of TD's.

I still want to know why Aggies seek validation of their players (offensive only) on LSU's recruiting site.

Go to your own board, lock arms to shoulders, rocks side-2-side and tell each other you're going to lead the SEC in yardage. You'll be in good company with the Piggies because they'll be bragging about leading in rushing average.

Not seeking validation...am just bored and am contradicting an opinion I disagree with. Harris is a stud no doubt and a great kid. A&M offered both him and Allen, Allen committed first, Harris dropped A&M after..they' l. Both do well.

I like it over here sometimes...

I was also surprised that Quinn was not thrown to more often. But it is tough to base all the evaluation of someone on just one game.

I still think Quinn will be outstanding at LSU.

When watching All Star games, the main thing I hope for is that no LSU prospects/recruits suffer injuries that will slow down the beginning of their college careers.

The sour grapes rhetoric is what isn't necessary. A couple of days ago these guys were great, now they have multiple flaws

What sour grapes are you seeing from me? I said we didn't need him, but wanted him and that's correct. Beckham is about the closest person we have to his skillset that actually did something, and up until this year, most thought he was too short and had butterfingers.

We've succeeded with guys like Randle and Byrd, and Bowe and LaFell etc. If you go back to my post history, until the practices, I didn't think he had a chance of really doing anything here his freshman year. A guy like Trey Quinn, built into the mold of a faster Landry, and Dupre, big body position WR like a filled out LaFell, but with way better hands and hops.

I still feel like Quinn and Dupre are better prepared for our type of offense though.
