I get why he left....he's really put it out there for Arky, and ever with Petrino he still has no wide outs.

It will be interesting to see where he goes.

If KJ wants in, I 100% take a guy with almost 10,000 yards and 88 touchdowns as an SEC starter over Nuss. Y'all serious?

GET HIM! You're talkin' a Jayden redux in the Denbrock scheme.

In some ways KJ outscores JD-- he's bigger and stronger and would be a holy load for opponent defenses to bring down in LSU's offensive scheme.

You have to understand that if you keep signing portal guys to be your backup, you're never going to develop the players you recruit out of high school and will always be looking for experience behind the starter. Further, these QBs entering the portal are not doing so to go sit on the bench. They're transferring to start and want assurances they can. If we sign a guy like that, then we lose Nuss and are in the same exact position we were prior with depth. Nuss has been learning this system for 2 years now. I have more faith in him coming in and doing well than bringing some average to slightly above average guy from another school to be a one year mercenary. None of these guys entering the portal this far are stars. They're almost all guys who have been playing forever and still have red flags preventing them from being drafted.

Arkansas fans aren't even upset he's leaving. That should tell you something. He's been their starter the last 3 years

Signing a portal QB to provide depth behind Nuss for a year or two is not going to hinder the development of Collins/Hurley. You can't go into a season with your QB room being Nuss followed by a redshirt freshman and a 16 year old true freshman.

Go get a guy that has 1-2 years remaining who has good experience so that if Nuss gets hurt, your season isn't completely lost.

it's another reason I don't understand why Howard left
Nuss will have two years to be the starter and than at that point Howard would have been in a great position to start at LSU whereas he is doing the same thing at Ole Miss that he would have done at LSU because Dart is likely returning next season and you can bet Kiffin is gonna be right back in the portal with no guarantee that Howard will start at Ole Miss once Dart leaves

My man, KJ Jefferson is not transferring somewhere as a 6th year player to provide depth for anyone. And Nuss isn't sticking around with just 2 years left to play to watch someone else start.

If we sign a bigger name QB from the portal, that means our coaching staff is looking to move on from Nuss. If we take a younger QB from the portal who's willing to learn, then that means the coaches are sticking with Nuss and we won't be starting the guy we bring in.

In no universe do we have both KJ Jefferson and Nuss on the roster. So if you want Jefferson, fine, but also have to be ok with also losing Nuss. I don't think that makes us a better team, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion

I love the automatic dismissal of a career 65% passer with a 3.5 to 1 TD:INT ratio and almost 8k passing yards in the SEC

Never change rant

It was foolish. He will still be a backup next year, and if some of the rumors re Arch Manning are true, he very well could be looking at transferring again when he could have been our backup next year

You're allowed to but just be man enough to say that he ain't your guy. You preemptively award the starting job to portal guys but then hide behind the line of "competition".

Why do we even need some bum from the shitty PAC12 who threw 10TDs to 10INTs. Ummm hello haven't you heard of Myles Brennan? Didn't you see the Missouri game? Do we need to post his YPG before the injury? It's his turn.

I wouldn't be shocked if he goes to State to play in Lebby's system.

Thinking this way based upon LSU's shitty defense struggling to contain him is just ignorant. He has not been mentioned on the national level by anyone. Nuss will be strong next year, and there are solid QBs, who would surpass KJ, on the horizon for LSU.

I think we would all love to see Daniels play 1 more game in a LSU uniform but it really could be the best for the program if he opts out.

I would give coaches a good assessment of what they have in Nuss with the ones going against a quality opponent.

He won't stay in the SEC. I think he ends up in ACC
