Anyone have a list of LA kids that really panned out going to Bama?

Off the top of my head it's not that many:

1) Eddie Lacy- Hahnville

2) Cam Robinson: not as dominant as they thought he would be. Would have been nice though to have a LT start for 3-4 years

3) Hootie Jones: BUST

Yeah but with the safeties that we landed I don't think we missed anything without Collins

-Williams yes that sucks

Eddie Lacy didn't go to Hahnville.

The special needs WR from Rayville had some productive years for them even if he didn't reach the NFL.

better than any safety we had during that period, was an AA, and a 1st road draft pick

I'd consider that "panning out", no?

Denzel Devall started for them at Jack LB for 2 years I believe & was solid.

Guys that didn't necessarily pan out:

Bradley Sylve
Denzel Devall (he was okay)
Hootie
Cam Sims
Raheem Falkins
Daylon Charlot

I'd say Devall panned out. He was a starter. If you start for Bama at LB, you are legit.

some others that never panned out were Kenny Bell and Darrington Sentimore

I really do think sometimes that Bama offers guys from LA just to keep them from coming here. I'm sure a couple of those guys could have panned out at LSU with more reps.

I agree, LSU will always have RB's and DB's just as good as Bama, those losses in recruiting did not hurt.

The ones that have hurt the most were OL like Robinson and defensive players like the ones they just lost, Moses and Allen.

pretty sure you've been eating bread with mold on it

kid started all 14 games at LT as a true FR. Over a total of 861 snaps, Robinson surrendered only three quarterback sacks. Robinson was named a Freshman All-American by Football Writers Association of America.

2nd best OT in the 2017 draft and will likely go top 15 (if he forgoes his Sr. year)

Robinson was a package deal with Cam Sims and our coaches dropped the ball. Of course the BAMA handler (Bakari Guice) also had an influence on CRob's decision
