Any insiders know where we stand with Todd Harris & Devonta Smith?

Can't see how we sign Harris if we're trying to bring in the Abram cat from juco. That's 3 other nice safeties in this class

My buddy is Todds coach and he won't tell me what he's thinking. I personally think he's coming here but Bama is really really close to landing him also

This Abram thing has thrown me. Not sure why'd we sacrifice a Top 5 Instate Safety for a JUCO guy, unless they think he's a 1 year starter impact Adams type guy. Even then youre trading 1 year for at least 3 from Harris.

I think Abram ends up at Alabama, but the reason LSU is after him is because they likely think they can plug him in right away.
The HS kids, while talented, are not as prepared to do that.
I'd love to have him, but Pruitt and Bama will be tough to beat if they want him.

Trying and getting are two TOTALLY different things. Anyone that thinks we are getting Abram is fooling themselves. It is between us and Bama and Bama definitely has the upper hand "and that is an understatement" with Pruitt being the DC at Bama. Pruitt was Abram's DC at Georgia and they have a GREAT relationship. I will take bets that Abram commits to Bama if anyone is stupid enough to take the bet.

Well, we have the #1 (Stevens) and IMO #2 (Delpit) safeties in the class, and we still need LB's, DT's, and OT's desperately. I have a TON of complaints about this recruiting class, but Todd Harris is not one of them!

You got to remember in this day and age the silent commit is big so these kids can have their 5 min of fame with announcement days. I don't want to sound like I hold that against him, it is just the way it is now.
